Hi everyone. It has been a while since I posted. I have still been quilting at the Senior Center. My stitching is improving, so I am told. One of our quilters lost her husband who had been sick. It was a shock. We are supporting her at this time in prayers and thoughts. I hope you all offer up prayers for her as she goes through her time of grief. He was a very nice gentleman, and I am glad I got to meet him.

I am getting around the quilt room a letter better. I still have two quilts to finish. I am trying to change the title of this page so it shows Larry's Things which will highlight mostly quilting.

I hope you do stay tuned. It seems quilting is falling by the wayside because we as a people have isolated ourselves. The Bible speaks on community and sharing. Quilting for me is a great way to be with others, share and is a good healing project. Thanks to these ladies at Crazy Quilters, I am slowly healing due to my great loss.

Hi everyone!! This Friday, August 21, BINGO NIGHT!!!!!!!! Yeah!!!!!! Doors open at 6: 00 pm at starts 6:30 pm. Come and join the fun. No menu so far, just snacks and soda,
All money goes to the Senior Center.

Hi everyone. I was at Senior Center quilting this morning, actually sewing, and we were joined by a new person. Her name is Pam and she is an experienced quilter. She is going to help us with the Meals on Wheels projects.
Also, if you would like to donate to the Senior Center, I put a list up where you can donate to help them. Every little bit helps.

Next Week, or next Monday, I am making a peach Cobbler for the ladies and taking some vanilla ice cream to go with it. Yum Yum.

Friday night Bingo is coming up on August 21st, wow, that is next week. I so hope you can join us for Pattern Bingo. It is a lot of fun. I will let you know what they are offering for dinner that night. Center opens at 6:00 pm and Bingo starts at 6:30.

Hi everyone!! Just wanted to share some pictures of me and my friend quilting. It was a good morning for quilting. My friend on one quilt and me on another. Had a person come in this morning inquiring about donating quilts and and another one came in and said she wanted to help quilt. The Crazy Quilters are hard at work.
It is a smoky day today. Nice to work inside on a day like this.

Hi everyone. I was quilting this morning. There was some people there hold a big check. From what I saw, it was First Federal Bank delivering a donation check to the Senior Center for $2500.00.
Awesome!!!!! Thank you First Federal Bank.

Also the Senior Center is looking for volunteers to deliver meals on wheels. If you have some time and meet some pretty neat people, contact the Senior Center and tell them you would like to donate some time to help. It is always appreciated.

Hello everyone. Just want to update you all.
Twin Falls Senior Center has been a big part of my life so far. I go there to quilt with the ladies of the Crazy Quilters. As I am quilting, I have several projects I am working on. Can you believe it? They actually trust me with a needle, thread and their quilts. Lol!
The Senior Center is a big part of seniors lives that are over 55. They have exercising for them, lunch, quilting, and most of all Meals on Wheels. They cook meals there and volunteers deliver these meals to seniors or home bound that can't get out. These meals are made right there at the Senior Center.
Recently, the Center had to cut back due to city budget. They have to close Tuesday's and Thursday's. That means no meals on wheels on those days. and no meals at the center.
The Center has had yard sale and a walk a thon already to try to raise money for our beloved seniors. Heck just recently we celebrated and nice little ladies 100th Birthday. Amazing.
This center is part of a community, and the community is part of the seniors. What is heart breaking is the meals that don't go out on Tuesday' and Thursday's.
Please check on your senior neighbors and if you would like to help donate to the Center please stop and talk to Tina. I would love to see this center open up every day and our seniors benefit from it.

Hi everyone. This is Jamie. She is a quilter at the Twin Falls Senior Center and a Crazy Quilter. We celebrated her birthday today. She loves to quilt and have friends around. Happy Birthday Jamie!!!!

I went to the Senior Center Cool Yard Sale this morning. A lot of stuff. Go take a gander at what they got. They are open till 3 pm. There is a lady named Cathy there that is selling cookies. Are they ever so good. Help support the Twin Falls Senior Center!!!!
