2024 Triathlon Status
Last Blast Lincoln Triathlon
I'm sorry to announce that the Last Blast Lincoln Triathlon will no longer continue. After 13 years we have decided to discontinue the race due primarily to course safety concerns. We feel after the last few years the traffic on the course in Leibers Point is a risk to competitors and volunteers. We appreciate the help by the staff of Branched Oak trying to make changes with one lane two-way traffic in the effort to provide more safety, but the reality is the amount of traffic, and "impatient" drivers has risen to a point that is not conducive to provide a "safe" course. With more activities and individuals using the area, along with the campgrounds it's just too much to handle.
We want to thank our past sponsors, Tiger Coaching & Personal Training, Cycle Works, The Lincoln Running Company, and Norland Pure Water. Also, all the volunteers over the years who put in countless hours of time.
We have appreciated all your (participants) support the last 13 years and enjoyed serving you through the years and through COVID. Thanks again for racing with us, you provided a lot of good memories and special moments over those years.
