I got the text this morning that a Friend/Racer lost his battle & passed away this morning.

We spoke often about racing, but more about my Tiki Bar & Sye.

A true gentleman

Rest n Peace Les Pantry.

It's been a Great ride since 2018 with the Series & today 4/21/24 we have decided to Retire the Series.

This decision started a few years ago, but alot of things have changed since then.

I want to Thank All our Sponsors from 2018 thru 2023 as All of you helped the Series.

I want to Thank All of our Committee members throughout the years for making the decisions on a fair Series.

I want to Thank All Racers for your continuous support throughout the years whether you raced with us or simply shared our info.

The Racers are what makes any Series & I Personally Thank You.

I want to Thank All tracks that invited us to their facility to Bring The Action throughout the years.

As we All get older, things come & go & always have to enjoy life & that's what has made my decision.

I will leave this page up & active so you can view videos & pictures.

Info & RULES

Things you will need to know all in this post

Race - Capital City Speedway on Sept 30th

Friday Sept 29th
Gates are open from
6-8pm to park trailers ONLY with dry camping allowed. Smitty to direct you to parking spots.

Saturday Sept 30th
Gates open at 11am for Mowers ONLY.
DO NOT get there at before 10:55 & text or call me about opening the gate. Per Racetrack

At gate on Saturday Racers will sign tracks form & get wristband & each Racers name will be on a sheet for them to check off.
Spectators are $15 at the gate to the track & get wristband

12 - 1:45pm will be the following -
Pre-tech
Driver's meeting
Paying $20 to race at MEGA Trailer
Drawing for heat races
Drawing for Burris Racing Tires
If you miss any of these...you will start in the rear for heat race if it's not an emergency situation.
ALL Mowers MUST be Pre-tech prior to getting on Racetrack

I will get you your transponders... please rest assure that. It is your responsibility to make sure it doesn't fall off & if it does... that's on you & you won't be scored.
It's also your responsibility to get the transponder back to me or it is a $300 fee & we will pursue it.

2pm ish Practice starts with Karts & Mowers.
Practice lineup has already been posted on here.
As of right now per practice lineup - Mowers will get 2 different practices for the tracks 1st round of practice. Meaning... Karts will practice a 2nd round with just karts & that gives you about
1.5 hrs to work on your equipment & then Mowers ONLY will get 5 laps per class for their 3rd round. Mowers 3rd round is cut shorter than the 1st 2 rounds. Meaning... yes, you will get more laps your 1st 2 rounds.

After Mowers 3rd round of practice, get your mowers ready as heat races are up next.

Then a break & into the Feature Races

Overnight camping is Allowed with dry camping.

Note - if need be, please read above again.

RULES -

Our rules are located under upload photos on here & might wanna read them. Yes, a few revised rules, but they're mainly on rain & other small things.

FXT -
Weight 500 with driver
499.999 you are disqualified. SORRY
You the driver have 2 chances to move mower around on scales to make weight.
You the driver ONLY in scale area. Per Track

FXS -
Weight 450
449.999 you are disqualified. SORRY
Same thing applies as FXT other than Weight difference.

LMS -
Here WE GO
Top 7 Mowers to tech
" ONLY " drivers ALLOWED in tech.
You can celebrate afterwards with your driver. You will be ask to leave tech area.
No Weight limit
" STOCK " Engine
3650 MAX RPMS
3650.1 you are disqualified
2 chances at checking RPMS
If you run a transmission - your mower will be in neutral with clutch pushed in all the way.
All others will have rear on a block to check.

MUST have working choke shaft/butterfly installed in carburetor.

Will be checking carburetor bore with ABSOLUTELY NO Porting or Polishing of any part of carburetor. This can/could happen after heat, Feature & or both. If we should run into a issue of any of this... the committee will discuss & their decision is FINAL.
Note - I Can't stand a CHEATER & have zero Tolerance for it.

Claimer Rule - $400 for LMS Engine minus clutch & exhaust
ONLY 2nd place can claim the winner's Engine & has to be done Immediately after winner has been cleared of tech & 2nd place is cleared of tech.

I understand some Racers have spent more money for their STOCK Engine... However like I have said many times... this class wasn't designed to spend $500 to $1,000 plus for your Engine.

If your Engine happens to Claimed & you say NO to it.... then you're Disqualified & will have 1 non claim with the MEGA Lawnmower Racing & with a total of 2... You & that mower won't be eligible to race in that class again with us.
Class supposed to be LOW BUDGET & fun. It's definitely fun as you know.

Safety Equipment -
You MUST have APPROVED Racing helmet, racing jacket or suit, long sleeve shirt is a NO GO & will be black flagged, racing gloves, racing neck collar & if you have any questions on your safety equipment... feel free to bring it to me on Saturday & answer is FINAL per Racetracks policies & insurance.
This Needs to be RESPECTED as it's for Your Safety

Safety of Mowers - if we fill your mowers welds looks as if they won't hold up or something looks unsafe to you or a fellow Racers.... we will try to help you fix the issue so you can race.
But SAFETY is our 1st & Main Concern for Racers & Spectators.

After Feature Races -
Give me about 25 - 30 minutes tops to prepare for Awards. Awards giving out at MEGA Trailer

I will have practice lineup, heat races lineup & features lineup at MEGA Trailer

If you have an issue making a round of practice, heat races or Feature races... you will need to let the Grid person know as I can't run back in forth. That is on you & your pits.

Heat races & Feature races - per track they will give you 3 minutes on the clock to try to get your mower going on the grid so you can race.

I will go over other things at track during Driver's meeting

Please Remember we ALL are guest at Capital City Speedway for the race & this Structure is definitely different than just lawnmowers racing at a track with just them & no rush. But we are doing this race under certain things track is providing us.

This may be your 1st race like this with us & trust me... everything goes smoothly.

I know this is alot to read & 90% will only skim thru this post & then message me on things that are mentioned in this post.

On this flyer you will see the Tracks info & also the practice lineup. Lineup shouldn't have to be changed.

We will offer a 3rd quick round for mowers only.
