Our friend, Linda Gordon, was a kind and generous person known to many who used the Snow Library in Orleans, and a long-time member of the First Encounter Coffeehouse. My condolences to her husband Bob, and to all her family and friends.

November is Native American Heritage Month. On this day in 1963, JFK was assassinated. Thursday is Thanksgiving. And Linda Gordon, folk music lover and Sustaining Member of this show and WOMR, died last Friday. In appreciation of Linda, as she is being buried this morning in Orleans, we'll hear some songs in her honor from Vance Gilbert, Anne Hills, Gordon Bok, David Roth, Holly Near, Pete Seeger and more, plus songs for those other occasions and some new music. Log on or tune in 930am-1230pm ET.
