Here is a case of me helping the wedding planner save time and energy. She did a beautiful job with a very limited budget. Once again it goes to show you don't have to spend a lot of money to have a joyful and pretty wedding when it's full of love.

Menu: kale poppers with pesto dip, olive fig spread on fruit/nut crackers, salad with radish and sunflower sprouts, heart of palm, etc. and fig balsamic vinaigrette, seeded bread, eggplant roll ups with goat cheese filling with sun-dried tomatoes, basil from my garden and balsamic cream sauce (not healthy, but yummy, cream sauce), roasted tri-color peppers and zucchini and for dessert butter pecan cookies, chocolate dipped blackberries, and mint chip ice cream.

This weekend it was my privilege to orchestrate a celebration of life for my dear friend since 7th grade, Janet Hitchcock Sexton. Covid forced us to wait a almost a year and a half to find closure for this sad life event. Finally her ashes were placed by the family in the ocean where she grew up and a nice size group of immediate family and close friends gathered to share memories, watch a video of her life, and hear a song especially written for her by another childhood friend, Chuck Glass.

First dinner party in a year! vaccines, still masks, small groups: soon to be larger, starting to feel some relief...I love showing hospitality.
