Quick update on space. We were being conservative with pre-sale tickets because we were awaiting confirmation from the venue of the availability of certain rooms for rent. We have rented 3 rooms total from The Echo Motel, and in response are raising our ticket caps to reflect that. You will be able to see these updated values at our event registration site. Before 2-D fighting games were on Home consoles,
there was a Primitive time in gaming history where Arcades dominated the Fighting game edge.

In 1994 I remember entering my local Arcade "Nickelodeon" in Pharr and seeing a new 2D Fighting game known as "

Killer Instinct"
with an Indian, Wolf, Alien, Dinosaur, Robotic Ninja, and others.

This Arcade fighter was embraced by the fighting game crowd with the combo breaker system.

It was developed by Rare, published by Midway, and was running on the Nintendo Ultra 64 proprietary Hardware, which was released to all major arcades in the U.S.
