To say I love these two would be one heck of an understatement! You see they are my second set of parents. They belong to one of my oldest and truest friends. I don't have many high school memories without them in it. Weekends at their house sitting by the wood fire, listening to Mr. Meyer play the guitar, summers at the beach house and on the bay, dance parties... backing cookies... trips to VA.... the memories are endless. My good taste in music comes from them for sure!!! I think I even was more afraid of disappointing them than my own parents!

They celebrate 50 years of marriage this year, 56 together, and because it's always about me, I've been able to learn and grow from them for 25 of those 50! Momma and Poppa Meyer, words can't express how grateful I am to have you in my life. Momma Meyer you taught me how to be one strong woman and not put up with any S***. Poppa Meyer you taught me what a salt of the earth good man is and how important always staying moving is. Together you modeled for me what a REAL marriage is. It ain't always pretty but creating a life with someone is a beautiful thing! Though we don't see each other often, you will always hold a special place in my heart. Oh and thanks for giving me one of my bestest friends under the sun! Happy Anniversary you two!

Is there anything better than a brand new baby?! I think not. This little surprise joined his 3 big sisters in the same fashion they came in to the world. Never a dull moment or delivery with the Chiddie kids! Welcome to the crew Luke! I can’t wait to watch you grow just as I have your sissies! The Chidester clan holds a special place in my heart!

No like for real guys I 👏🏼 freaking 👏🏼 can’t 👏🏼 newborn isn’t my specialty but for the special people in my life I do my best. I have been trying to get this pose for what seems like years!!! I damn near cried when he not only did it but held it!!!
Moreover, I walked in to this families house and saw the pictures I took from momma and daddy’s engagement and wedding. Now little jacob will be on their walls. Nothing makes me happier than be a small part of peoples lives ❤️ it’s why I still keep doing this even with my Rheumatoid arthritis and crazy travel nursing!

Here they are again! The sweetest little ladies ever. I just can't tell you how much joy it brings me to see these little go from their mommas belly all the way until now. It's seriously on of the reasons I keep doing this. Now that they're getting older they even remember me which makes my heart so happy! We combined ms. Violets first birthday shoot with the whole fam. And let me tell ya something, Violet is not your typical #3 baby. Homegirl rules the roost in this family. It's vi's world and we are just livin in it! Just love you chiddies to pieces!

I mean have you ever seen a more beautiful redhead in your entire life. Her personality is even more captivating. This lovely lady has always wanted to be a teacher and boy did she go big! Bachelors and Masters degree graduating with.... whatever the top stuff is that gets you those fancy ribbons. Clearly I was not that person! Lauren, the next generation is mighty lucky to have you molding their minds! Congrats on your graduation and good luck (not that you need it) in your first year teaching!
P.S. Her momma was my boss and it's easy to see where she gets her magic (and red hair) from! She's a strong woman because she was raised by a strong woman!

This gorgeous lady is off to do big things in Washington D.C. on Emergency Management policy advocacy. It has been a pleasure knowing her for years in my real job working as a nurse in the ER. It really is amazing the colors you see from the sky just below the surface. The editing was so minimal on this because God made it so perfect the camera can’t absorb all its beauty so a few minor tweaks and it’s closer to what my eyes saw.

West Virginia, Mountain Momma, take me home, country roads .... errr I mean rivers.
We took a short 6.5 hour drive to beautiful West Virginia for a 24 hour visit with our soul family and it did not disappoint! My little flat landers loved all the windy roads! We won’t be waiting for to long to come back and stay a little longer this time around! I’ll be bringing my land and sky cameras next time around though!

Fun fact... facebook market place brought this little in to my life! When her (freaking stunning) momma wanted to buy my elliptical because she wanted to get her pre baby life back (fyi it never went anywhere!) I shamelessly plugged myself. So I got to meet gorgeous Isabella as a newborn, and then again at 6 months. She is just seriously a perfect little thang! Full of smiles and cheeks. The best part is I convinced momma to get in on the fun. Momma's here me loud and clear... YOU ARE GORGEOUS! Get in the dang pictures!! Hope to see you soon little miss!
I've said it once, I'll say it again, my absolute favorite part of this gig is watching families grow. I haven't been in it as much as I have in the past (hopefully that changes soon!) but I just love those few clients who have stuck with me through this whole autoimmune mess because I just love love love seeing these littles grow.
