I"ve been a licensed cottage baker in the Kirkland area for over five years now. Short version: you know the old saying, "When life hands you lemons, make lemonade?" Well, we're making desserts instead. From decadent chocolate cupcakes to artisan decorated cookies, you can find exactly what you need to take your celebration to the next level.

Two simple words, but they carry so much weight. If you know me IRL, you know how strongly I believe in the power of words. I don't know of many more phrases that are as powerful than this one - THANK YOU. Thank you to my amazing vendors for showing up (if they could) and making a slower market day SO . MUCH. FUN. Thank you to my amazing kitchen partner, Lauren for taking care of MY business along with hers while I was out managing. Thank you to Rasha of and Judy of .wa for being my co-judges on our first ever baking competition. I had such an amazing time trying each recipe and discussing the components with both of you - the energy going back and forth was exhilitating!!! Thank you to for capturing the spirit of the event - I can't wait to see your shots! Thank you to the amazing staff at the city, Elena and Angela, for all of their help. Thank you to the spectacular contestants in the Great Eastside Baking competition - seeing you all work SO hard and be SO excited about your submissions was a highlight of the day. I truly enjoyed meeting each one of you and tasting your desserts. Looking forward to seeing the winners defend their titles next year! Thank you to my amazing husband for his support and help, and finally - thank you to all of you for sharing and supporting this event. I always walk away from this event feeling connected, energized, and proud of this community we are building.

Birthday cookies from one Star Wars fan to another. These decorated cookies came from the heart; as a fellow nerd, I always appreciate when the recipient has a love of something geeky or pop-culture-based. Don’t get me wrong… I love the cute little kids’ themes and pretty florals and stuff, but when the recipient is a fellow nerd like me, the cookies always shine just a little bit brighter.

Have.. why have you been holding out on me so long?? If you haven’t … let me introduce you! It’s like a paper towel and a sponge got married and had a baby - a beautiful, reusable, and environmentally-friendly baby! I just found out about them recently, but today I was gifted one printed with a design by my friend Erica, owner and head designer at bgoods13 (link in comments). This yellow matched my kitchen perfectly and added a little sunshine to a what was a really stormy week! Thank you, Erica!!

Let’s talk about chocolate. Not the hersheys kisses you get while you’re standing in line to pay at the store … I mean …. CHOCOLAT a hersheys kiss has its place, don’t get me wrong … but we are talking about decadence… luxurious richness of flavor and texture …

Did you know there is an amazing chocolatier right in our (well, some of our) backyards?? I am here to tell you —- there IS. Right in Bothell.. but if you’re not local, Bon Chocolats has an online store as well. I want to encourage ALL of you to check it out, either online or in person

I LOVE being a part of kids’ events! Especially now that mine are out of school!! One of my favorite memories of school will always be the book fair, and when my client asked for help with concessions at the dance celebrating the book fair, I knew we had to do apple cakepops. I also created bag toppers that said “book worms” and they filled them with gummy worms to sell. They sold out of everything and were able to raise money for the school. I have so much admiration for my client and her dedication to her kids’ school. She is amazing and this community is lucky to have her!

Can you guess what this set of cookie cutters will be??? I love being able to say yes to more inquiries knowing I can create the matching products in house with my @josefprusa 3D printer.

From design concept to delivery, I’ve learned to utilize all of the tools at my disposal. Procreate was used to create the sketch: from there, I created the cookie cutter files and printed those. Finally, a little elbow grease to bring the vision to life and viola! Some dinomite cookies for the birthday twins

New to our Galentines market fam is a fellow community builder like myself. Liz Russell is using her business, On The Eastside, to fulfill the needs of specific spaces in our community. Her events range from speed friending to professional networking, and I'm SO excited to introduce yall to her and her business.

We are kicking off our vendor spotlights this year with a little bit of info about the businesses and the owners. Yall know I love the "this or that" trend.. so here we go: Our first vendor to be featured is Skybox Skincare Bar based out of Lakewood. Skybox has been in business since 2018. It's an organic, eco-friendly, farm 2 face, and bud 2 body skincare company that caters to the environmentally conscious and curious. And yall - Marika SOLD OUT of her products in about three hours last year, so the demand is HIGH

It’s a hot one today but we are ready!! Come by the farmers market at Juanita Beach Park from 3-7 today. I’m in a different spot this week - right next to the ice cream person (yeah I may have bribed someone for this arrangement)

It’s my first market at Juanita this season. Come by to get your treats for the weekend. And yo - check out the new packaging. Same delicious treats on the inside but the outsides got upgrades

Y’all!! It’s a gorgeous day at the Harvest festival. Bring your peeps on down to the party across the street from Juanita Beach!! There are tons of vendors, lots of kiddo activities, and food trucks. Oh yeah — and some delicious treats and gorgeous decor from yours truly.
