1 month exactly on Christmas day. It's been one month 🤯 since I had you, naturally, after your brother's C section. The fact that I am only just now posting about it is a testament to how much more full life is with one more tiny human! Happy Sunday, fam! I wanted to share a verse which I had running on repeat through my head this past week. The first part of the verse hides a secret about how to find fulfillment in all you strive towards and the second tells us what true humility looks like.

Here's what I hear in this: Ambition in itself isn't wrong, God has BIG things planned for you and it's up to you to go out and get it! That said, selfish ambition, ambition to see only yourself or your status elevated never leads to fulfillment. It always comes back to service. Is your ambition to serve others? Success in all forms comes from serving people well and serving as many of them as possible. In fact, research shows that people who make it a practice to do nice things for others are happier people! Beautiful, right?

The second part of the verse is what I personally needed to remember again and again this week... choose to see others as better than yourself. This does not mean think less of yourself, it simply means think more of OTHERS. It always comes back to considering others. Something strange happens when you shift your focus off of yourself and think instead of others... their response to you and all of your communication with them improves and joy abounds! I held this as a mantra this week and I'm hopeful that it may help someone else out as well. Anyone else have a mantra on repeat or a verse to share from this past week? If so, share them below! If you're arranging flowers, always use my rule of 3's and TRUST ME they will always turn out more cohesive! What is the rule of 3's? 3 of each type or color or flower, think of them as triangles so that you are drawing the viewer's eye to three points of interest with that same color or flower! Also, you always want a statement flower (or flowers!) slightly taller than the rest in the middle! If you want a short but full tutorial, let me know in the comments!
