Boom! Cheyenne Mountain Resort, A Dolce by Wyndham / Michael & Sheridan

One of the most joyful wedding films you will ever see! One thing I know after filming this wedding is that Micheal and Sheridan really know how to celebrate and how to throw an amazing party. The Cheyenne Mountain Resort provided an amazing location for their beautiful ceremony at Lakeside Beach, as well as their reception at the Grand River's Ballroom with access to the Grand River Terrace. I'm so thankful to be able to capture and share this amazing wedding day.

So many couples that I consult with struggle to decide on whether to do a first look or to have that first moment viewing each other during the ceremony. It's such a personal decision and I always encourage them to talk about it themselves and decide. It is important to also lay out the pros and cons during our talk and let them know that having a private first look before the ceremony can benefit your entire day so much in terms of freeing up more time for portraits and wedding party photos. Also, I've been able to capture the absolute sweetest and most intimate reactions when it's just a moment with the two of them (and our cameras :) ). As you can see, some couples decide to read their private personal vows to each other during their first look instead of during their ceremony. There are so many options and what fits best for your wedding is okay if it's different from what you've seen your friends do! Make it personal and make it yours!

Full Wedding party photos can be so much more than the regular if there is time and cooperation for it. This is an composite photo that consisted of individually lit subjects thanks to my assistant holding the light over each person, then adding a little photoshop blending. I started doing this type of image about 3 years ago (an old one is on my feed) and it’s always so fun when I have the opportunity at weddings to create a unique piece of art for my clients.

Happy (belated) 2 year anniversay Emily & TJ and congrats on your baby boy!
Emily wrote: TJ and I actually met through our parents :) I was working at a restaurant while I had just finished up beauty school to make extra money. Our parents knew one another from a harley davidson group that they had met in, and thats also how TJ was introduced to my parents since he rides a motorcycle as well. On TJ's 19th birthday, they all went on a motorcycle ride in a big group (at this point we still hadnt met each other) and then decided to go into the restaurant I was working at that night for his birthday dinner! I of course was their server, and that is when my mom introduced us and I met his mom and dad for the first time. We definitely flirted while I was serving him LOL. When it was time for dessert I brought out a dessert for him and asked him if he wanted me to sing him happy birthday haha. 3 days later, he added me on facebook, messaged me, and we've been inseparable ever since.
