My Story
Hey! I’m Allison Corbin. Owner/Photographer of Captured by Corbin Photography. I am married to my high school sweetheart for 10 years and we have 2 beautiful boys. I live in the house that I’ve wanted since I was a little girl and plan on staying here a long time!
I have always had a passion for photography. Ever since I can remember, I was the one stealing my mom’s camera and taking pictures. It was always fun to see what came back on the roll of film!
I actually restarted my love for photography in late 2013. After I had my second son, I wanted a way to capture memories of my two boys. Normal digital cameras and cell phones were too slow to capture their fleeting smiles without the picture blurring. That Christmas, my husband gave me a Canon Rebel T3i. I was in love! I know... it’s a beginner’s camera, but that was all I needed. It didn’t take long after that and I was capturing pictures of other families. My very first “paid” session was on the family farm where I grew up and where my father was raised. We captured pictures of my father and his siblings on the family farm and with grandpa’s tractor that was restored by my father. It was so much fun that I wanted to keep taking more pictures.
Now here I am today, 4 years later, going full time with my photography business. I never knew that I wanted to be a photographer or that this was going to be my dream job. I absolutely LOVE what I do! I love to make people laugh, I love to make people feel beautiful, I love to capture the moments that matter most for people. Whether it’s your wedding day, your graduation pictures, family, or your child’s milestones, they are important and capturing these moments is my passion.
