Got the bug to do colorful (modular) knits. Now that my Modern Quilt Wrap is half finished, well, it's time to cast on another "pick up and knit" project and I'm loving this one. Pirouette shawl by is easy, fun, and free! The pattern is great for getting creative with your colors and you can whip up a triangle in no time. Is this kind of knitting for you?

Di**le today! We've met Fiadh , had a demonstration of her weaving and...did a bit of shopping. But even before we arrived, we stopped for the breathtaking view.

Kinsale yesterday! The most colorful (and absolutely charming) place we've been so far. Perfect weather, a great walking tour, delicious lunch - and all the cheerful color inspiration you could ask for.

What an incredible day! An entire afternoon with .carol, learning about the Irish wool industry and knitting cables. We had a great time, learned lots of new things and of course, picked up a few skeins of Carol's beautiful yarn. Cork is a beautiful city, too. Can't wait to see more of it tomorrow. (The first photo is showing off our Tangential Blues sweaters.)

First stop yesterday was and it was spectacular! Thanks so much to Trevor for the in-depth tour of the mill. Of course, shopping in the newly remodeled store was also lovely!

Day One, and it's already been amazing! The exhibition at (and the castle collection itself) were outstanding. We are tired, but so far it's been a satisfying day with a wonderful group. Waterford has a Harvest Fair tonight - maybe we can catch a part of it!

What's the best thing about waking up in Dublin? Why, a flat white at , and enjoying the beautiful weather. Our Fi er Tour begins tomorrow but the fun has already started. Thanks so much to Jean at celtic Journeys.

For me, there are 2 kinds of summer knitting - the ones for wearing right now, and the "experiments" for next year's Retreats. Love, love,love the Sommer Ella Solo knit with Sandnes Line. And the Briochepride shawl is...pretty challenging! Glad I've got time to work it out! This year's final retreat is November 1-3. Preview coming soon.

Today were in Castine, enjoying some beautiful, COOLER temperatures and a lovely breeze. Perfect day for visiting a tiny town, sailing and...knitting!

The weather has turned on a dime! The first pics are clear skies and beautifulbreezes,the last is post-storm (just a few minutes uses of cooling rain). We're just within range of Castine, where we'll visit tomorrow. Can't wait to enjoy this lovely little town.

We're ready to sail! Everyone's here, the crew is hard at work, and...it's hot as blazes here in MAINE. But out on the water will be perfect. Standby for some great pics of our knitting and sailing adventure.
