These few hours shared by family and guests are shaped by many more in preparation and presentation. Our approach is that we are privileged to be a part of such an important day, one that will be remembered for years to come, and our effort must exceed expectations. Last night the old Melrose Textile Mill had life not imagined in the 1930's. Micah & Kyle along with an outstanding supporting cast of family and friends came together and made magic, giving these old bones a proper shakedown! The dance floor got so wound up that it was actually bowing several inches at one point! Congratulations to the happy couple!

We don't shy away from requests, in fact we make it easy. Each table or station receives a business card sized request QR code that when scanned will bring up an online request form that uses unique event codes. No more yelling at the DJ, how cool is that?

[RANT] Most of our lighting gear is Chauvet, around 75/25 including ADJ, but the future isn't looking good for Chauvet. We use the Freedom Par Hex-4 units for up lighting. Once set up I connect to all of them through Chauvet FlareCon Air and use the AIR app on my phone to dial in the color, blackout, etc. Our last wedding included up lighting, and unbeknownst to me, the AIR app updated without my knowledge from 1.0 to 2.0. which is completely incompatible with the 1.0 FlareCon AIR hardware. There is no backwards path, and the 1.0 app has been removed from all app stores. I had to manually configure all 25 units to a custom color using RGB. I'm really glad I arrived early enough to discover this. To top it off, we had to buy the new 2.0 hardware just to continue doing what we've been doing for years. Thank you Chauvet for rendering a perfectly working system useless, and forcing DJ's to buy a $400 piece of hardware that they didn't need before your greed set in.

Saturday evening was extraordinary! A beautiful ceremony followed by a banging reception, so much so that I completely forgot to snap any pics of a packed and slamming dance floor! This crowd came to wish the newlyweds well and party down! Congratulations to Taylor & Michaela!
