Yep! It’s true. I think cocktail hour is one of the best parts about a wedding, and I think it’s a shame that a couple would spend all this time, money, and effort planning a part of their big day they don’t get to enjoy.
Many photographers will keep you away from your entire cocktail hour doing photos… but I like to do it different. I break it up throughout your day so you don’t miss a thing.

My first born, my son, my sweetest boy, is EIGHT. How in the hell have I been a mother for 8 years now!?🤯
He was the beginning of everything for me. And always will be. He made me believe in myself. He gave me hope. He made me a mom. I love this boy with every fiber of my being. He is sweet, has the kindest heart, and loves his people fiercely. He’s so athletic and loves soccer. Loves quality time. And loooooves to talk lol. He’s amazing. And watching him grow is the best. ❤️❤️❤️

My sweetest Jojo is THREE today and I can’t even believe it.🥹😭
Today is also her last day of preschool for the summer! So we celebrated with donuts for her school!
She may look just like her dad, but she acts like me. and WOW am I difficult at times 😂🥴
But my girl is independent, fierce, loyal, determined. She’s got grit, she’s got sass, she’s got a dgaf attitude that will get her far in life. She’s also SO loving and sweet. She watches others and what they need and goes out of her way to help them. She loves her family, all dogs, all of her friends. She loves routines and being involved. She wants to help with everything. She loves her baby dolls, play kitchen, strollers, and anything about being a mom. She also loves dirt and swimming and LOVES the beach and building sand castles. She loves singing her songs with her favorite being We Will Rock You. She loves to dance freely and love abundantly. And she will also make it VERY clear if shes pi**ed off. She runs her life in her own time, and she encourages us to slow down to give her space to live. She pushes my buttons and heals me daily. She is everything, and what an honor it is to be her mom. I could not be more proud of Joanie and she’s only THREE. Watch out world, she’s gonna shake things up with her presence.

He’s such a sweet and amazing kid. Watching him learn and grow and hone in on his interests has been so incredibly fun to watch. He loves deeply, fights for what’s right, has a heart of gold, and is such a good son, brother, and friend.

Fiona + Kevyn’s engagement session was so much fun. We walked to one of their favorite coffee spots, and grabbed some drinks and just hung out around the area.
Engagement sessions don’t have to be a big production. It should represent your every day life. The real life memories you love making. The places you love to go with the person you love most.

Meet Tiffany, an incredible SLP and IBCLC. Since she works with babies and mamas a lot, we had her friend and new little one come for the shoot to help model for us. This studio session gave her a couple different looks to give her solid content for her website and social media feeds. This branding session was so much fun.

My job is so freaking special and fun and I’ll never get over it. I get invited into these intimate moments in people’s lives and get to document it for them, so they can relive it for years to come. I seriously think I’ve had this conversation word for word, at multiple different weddings 😂 I always tell my couples and their families… “some call it bossy, I call it assertive, and I promise when you have a drink in hand in 20 mins you’ll thank me for it” and lo and behold, they always do. Another reason why hiring a professional for your wedding is SO important. And why having a call with them, asking questions, making sure they can handle situations like this is crucial. It’s gonna be may🫡 As your wedding photographer, I make it my goal to be more than just the one taking photos. I help be your time keeper, holder of the schedule, your advocate, the one who can pull you from Aunt Susan if she’s annoying you, the “bad guy” who can tell people to put their phones away. I’m there for you. And yes, that means keeping you on track all day. Even when you have a coordinator (which I ALWAYS recommend) they’re busy doing everything else, and I’m the one with you alllll day. Jenna + Nick Married on 04/04/24, full wedding photo gallery received today 🤍 They opted for an intimate ceremony and dinner with their closest family. They said their vows on Corona Del Mar State Beach on a chilly Thursday afternoon. We took photos after and had a blast running around the beach. Wedding days can be stressful, but they def don’t have to be and SHOULDN’T be. They should be easy-going, stress free, and FUN. So here are my three helpful hints I do every wedding: 1. Send a questionnaire to my couples requesting all family and wedding party names as well as the dynamic of everyone. I always want to know the 3D’s: deceased, divorced, and drama. This helps me know what’s going on and who’s who. It also helps your family photos go by SO smoothly. 2. Touch base with your coordinator! They give me a timeline and I go over it with a fine tooth comb. I make sure my time given for each part of the day makes sense and I work with them to make any adjustments. 3. Have a final call. This is the last call before the big day. To answer any last minute questions. Go over the details I need you to have ready for me when I arrive on the big day. Go over the final timeline. All those last minute notes. It gets us on the same page every time. Your wedding day will be smooth sailing, I promise. #socalweddingphotographer #longbeachweddingphotographer

When the baby of the friend group finally turns 30, a 13 going on 30 slumber party was only fitting 🥳🎂 From eating Mediterranean food in our pjs, drinking endless wine, 90s/00s dance party, movie with snacks and face masks. It was the perfect night. Im so freaking lucky to have the girlfriends I do. I felt so loved and seen and had way more fun than going out. ————————— I never really connected with my 20s. I got married 5 days after turning 20, graduated college at 21, first baby at 22, second baby at 27. I started my own business and have been growing that for 8 years now. And bought our first house at 29. My 20s were a whirlwind and often times I just didn’t connect with anyone my age because how drastically different your 20s can be for people. I didn’t have that party phase, I didn’t travel the world solo, I never lived on my own. But I found my person young. I had babies young. I grew a six figure business. I bought a house in SoCal. I’m doing the damn thing, and I’m really, really freaking proud of what I’ve accomplished. I’m so excited for this new decade of life. Especially as the kids are getting older and more self sufficient and I can focus more on my own growth, in all areas.
