A Few of My Favorite Things

Beauty Brigade strikes again! This is Asheville Roofing Company on Riceville Road. They showed up for our community for two weeks following the storm. I am talking water, supplies and a daily hot meal. Not to leave out the charging station for our cell phones!! No one can say enough “Thanks” for that support and friendship! A little beauty coming their way was in order!

I want to share some beauty not to be tone deaf or disregard the hurting people in these mountains BUT to be a part of the brigade to bring beauty from rubble. I have always wanted to help in a disaster area … I just never expected it to be literally on my doorstep. Please see the second photo. I bought the peach dahlias from Carolina Flowers. Not only was their shop destroyed but the whole town. If you are outside this area and want to help them, there is a gofundme page. Please pray for healing and beauty to return.

I want to share a word or two about lilies! 🐝 Our pollen lovers love them as I do! It can stain your hand… (see illustration) and your clothes. Best policy is to remove the pollen handles before they get fuzzy. It allows the lily to last longer and saves all the staining.
