Pink sunsets are all I thought of when I bundled these blooms together this morning!
Pink dianthus, coral zinnias, terracotta celosia and blush lisianthus all picked fresh from Terra Farms 😍

Dolly, my flower rack, is going on a field trip today and taking in new views around town!

Her typical station is at The Olive Branch, but tonight I need her over at Ohana bowl & smoothie bar for our tropical design class.
This little black bucket will be temporarily taking her place🥰.

Fresh wrapped bouquets are still available this week and I just dropped them off before the doors opened for shopping! Don’t forget to snag their brand new dry shampoo! I can’t wait to try it!

In this upcoming workshop, you will have the opportunity to learn these fun skills and create a matching fresh flower arrangement using the freshest blooms from the best local flower farms in our area! 🦊I can’t wait to share more pictures and details of our incredible experience, but if you guessed from my orangey bouquet theme this past week that a fox might be involved… you were absolutely right!!!

We surprised Harper with visit to Fox Tale Sanctuary in Ohio where not only did she get to meet and feed over 20 of their precious foxes, she got to hold a baby fox!!!
This is Harp’s FAVORITE animal so to say she was so excited is an understatement lol.

This place is AMAZING and the work they do is incredible. We were treated so kindly and they took over two hours letting us meet and greet their babies. Please, please go and like/follow their page and consider a visit! Zoey, Jasper, Bear, J, and P**f were just some of our favorites❤️🦊❤️

🦊If you loved this week’s bouquet’s at The Olive Branch that were filled with zinnias, lisianthus, buckwheat, rudbeckia, chocolate lace and status in those amazing colors of foxy rusts, apricots and oranges, I wholeheartedly encourage you to visit a new flower friend of mine this weekend, Jillian, over at Whipwood Gardens in Dillsburg!

Each weekend she opens her flower farmstand and it’s filled with lots of beautiful cut flowers and planted pots as well. I gave her my wishlist this past week and she nailed it with my color scheme I requested!!

And this sweetheart isn’t on Facebook …yet.. but Michelle who owns Sparrow and Bloom is another local- new to me grower- that reached out this week and blessed me with a bucket of her homegrown scabiosa pods, snaps, zinnias, craspedia balls and more!

Our local area is absolutely brimming with beauty and the families behind these flower farms work so very hard. I’m so grateful to be able to design with the precious stems they so lovingly grow.

….We need to organize a sip and snip where we visit all the local flower farms right !???

24 extra special bouquets were delivered to The Olive Branch this afternoon.

I can’t share too much because we are trying to keep one of the biggest surprises of Harper’s life a secret until Saturday. ( no she’s not getting a brother or a sister lol- she will like this surprise way more actually😂) but there are some clues in the photos and I will absolutely be sharing all the details in the next few days!

Flowers are such little sidekicks to our lives aren’t they? Like a punctuation mark to the big sentences. I love sharing in your life moments through flowers and thank you for letting us share our little life experiences through flowers with you !❤️

Tomorrow is a big day for our little country! 🥰🇺🇸
I’m so grateful to be living in a country that allows for the idea of an American Dream to even exist. Tanner and I actually get to live ours out, both owning small businesses that we love.
Being married to a history loving, Air Force veteran I obviously learn a lot. His deep rooted love for country and patriotism is something I admire deeply about him. I was surprised to read this fact on his business page and I for sure will be enjoying my morning coffee a little extra tomorrow!!🇺🇸 I do love a little defiance lol!

I say this every time with all the love in the world and gratitude to my mama.. she raised a coffee snob lol, so when I tell you this stuff is amazing… it’s not just because I’m married to the roaster 😉 Actually this should make you trust me more!
Currently he sells his hand roasted coffee TW Roasting Co.at The Olive Branch. Have a safe and fantastic fourth!

Coffee History volume 1: Coffee while it existed, was the furthest thing from a daily drink in the British Colonies in the 18th century, at least until rebellion began against the most powerful government and military at the time. Tea was the primary drink for most and a way of life, however after a little tea party in Boston in 1773 all that started to change. In an act of defiance the public began to drink coffee, even replacing beer as the morning wake up beverage…yes, I said beer! The coffee they drank at that time was roasted much like I do, so if you got a bag brew some special on the 4th to taste a little defiance.

Tanner and I grew up in the era of motivational posters. So when I saw this, I instantly felt like we had a contender here for “perseverance” or “adversity” or something to that effect lol.

This is a sunflower… that we did not plant obviously. Nor have we planted ANY sunflowers on our property in the three years since we have been here. So at this specific spot, on the literal side of the back patio, a singular perfect bloom decided THIS was the optimal spot to make a living 😂.

…imagine how ticked I’m going to be if my dahlias and zinnias that I baby and love and care for don’t thrive like this wild child 🙄.

Look how stinkin CUTE!!!
Eve Baum owner of Beehive Cookie Co. walked us through the sweetest (pun intended😉) cookie design class last Monday and Harper and I got to discover an adorable, new to us donut and coffee shop in Carlisle -Crazy Glazed! Great coffee, perfect donuts and a super cute atmosphere.

As someone who also offers design workshops, (with flowers not flour!) it was amazing and fun to sit on the other side. Now I want to attend classes all the time lol who’s offering what next !?

This class was two hours long and we learned how to make borders and flood the cookies with icing, we used the cutest handmade scribes and even worked with edible glitter and pens that had edible ink - I didn’t even know there was such a thing!

In my opinion cookie decorating is wayyyyyyy harder than designing flowers! But Eve made it so fun and so easy and they turned out darling! Harper is just 8 years old and did great in this class and her cookies turned out amazing! She must have said six times on the way home how much fun she had ❤️.

🍪 Definitely try to make it to a class! You won’t regret it!

Queen Ann’s lace is one of my favorite flowers to see blooming wild in fields and alongside the road during summers in PA. They are so nostalgic of childhood and I think they look just like a perfect firework!

We’ve had an awesome week off last week. Lots of late nights and sleeping in, swimming and walks, a cookie decorating class with Beehive Cookie Co. family time and collaboration with a local business to bring something fun and unique come mid July. I’m so grateful for rest and the reset it provides and I’m ready to get some amazing LOCAL BLOOMS out to you all this week!

I’ll be dropping bouquets off to The Olive Branch early this week on Tuesday so you have the opportunity to grab a bouquet early for all your Independence Day celebrations! The bouquets during this special week will be designed only with blooms and foliage from our incredible local flower farms in our area!

💍 Full service wedding florals are what I’m most often requested to design- Think bouquets, boutonnières, centerpieces, arbor flowers, signage and more. These flowers would be delivered and installed on site the day of the ceremony.
🥂Couples are also having intimate ceremonies on a smaller scale and seeking only handheld and wearable flowers / bouquets and boutonnières. This “micro package” would be offered for pick up from the Wi******er ( our home - yes we named it 😂) and this option saves even more $$ with cutting out the delivery fee.

Below are two micro style packages that were picked up early this month for a backyard ceremony and a bayside ceremony in Maryland!

📣This is something I want to say loud and clear to couples navigating the world of wedding planning:
Be true to yourselves and do what feels right to you as a couple !!! Cringe at the thought of the garter toss in front of your grandparents? Don’t do it! More of a pie person instead of cake? - surprise your guests with a beautiful assortment of lovingly baked pies and desserts instead. Did you get to the point where you don’t even know the people on your guest list?… pray about intentionally inviting the guests you want surrounding you and your spouse that day.

Even 17 years ago when Tan and I got married you had specific “rules and traditions” that everyone just followed because it was …well… tradition! But this wedding day is about so much more than that … it is the beginning of YOUR life together. Start it out in a way that feels right 😘

Sweet Madison and Jadin were high school sweethearts and got married on June 8th🥰. Both of them came to chat flowers with me for their big day. Their genuine love and respect for one another was evident from the first meeting with them and I’m thrilled these two best friends get to spend a lifetime of love together.

Colors of blush, blues, creams and whites were requested for their day at Cedar Ridge Farms - who has one of the absolute cutest bridal suites!

This would be for weddings! So ideally someone who is capable of delivering, feeding a crowd, could offer tastings along with options for dietary restrictions etc!

I am looking to put together a great resource for my couples to connect them with sweet bakers(😉) in the area. I’m noticing this is a need and a question I get often at my floral consults and I’d love to have some great folks to refer them to!

It will be 18 years this October that Tanner and I exchanged vows that reminded me so much of this darling couple, Abby and Matt who got married just a few weeks ago on June 8th!

This time; many years, wrinkles, lots of stories both good and bad later we stood in the back of a church quietly and watched as another young couple made their loving commitment to one another.

Abby and Matt are the sweetest couple and full of life and laughter. They requested a wildflower feel focusing on colors of bright cheerful yellows, earthy greens and sunflowers. Their reception was held in a beautiful family owned barn and it looked stunning!

Often times brides will request florists to stay on site through the ceremony to do a “quick change” to repurpose the ceremony flowers to be enjoyed at the reception location. It’s a beautiful way to enjoy your flowers even longer and a great way to stretch your budget!
🤍And plus side from the florists point of view- we love getting to see you in your gown, surrounded by your family and friends as your whole vision that you worked so hard for comes to life!

But most importantly…after the flowers fade, the lights are turned off, the guests go home, all the planning is done and that best day has come and passed , my prayer for my couples every single time is that their marriage is even better than that most perfect day.

I’ll keep sharing my June weddings with you all throughout this week as this month comes to a close. I can’t begin to tell you how special all my couples are to me and the lifetime of love that I wish for them. I sincerely have the best job and I don’t ever forget it !

Mallory was the most organized bride I think I’ve ever worked with! She actually created that beautiful little binder for me and inside included all the info for the venue, pics, layouts of the reception tables and more! It was wonderful!

This gorgeous venue is Springfield Manor Winery, Distillery, & Brewery. As I pulled up Saturday afternoon I got a glimpse of rows and rows of purple! It was a lavender festival and if I’m open next year I absolutely need to check this out!

This was a first for me at this venue and it was darling! Elegant, open and bright. Mallory and Andrew are a beautiful couple and their floral choices went hand in hand with the feeling the venue gave. Crisp white blooms, clouds of babies breath against bright gold accents… their vision was beautiful and I truly can’t wait for the professional pics to come in.

Our only issue was of course…. The extreme heat. Mother Nature will ALWAYS win so I was praying HARD that those precious white blooms would do their best to stay beautiful. We all prayed for no rain that day however so that prayer was certainly answered lol!

Sweeter Than SAP made that dear dessert table. Every single one of those cupcakes looked perfect!

Mallory and Andrew, and your precious mamas Lisa and Kathy, thank you from the bottom of my heart for trusting me with your vision. It was such a pleasure working with you all!
I pray your day went just the way you hoped for and all my love and well wishes for a wonderful marriage!!!

When you get to enjoy a pic under your own flower arbor before the guests show up 🥰😘
That guy right there is a rockstar. Tan has a full time demanding job as a director, he’s a full time dad and husband, roasts the most amazing coffee on the side AND wakes up extra early on the weekends to be my co-pilot for our weddings. I truly couldn’t do it without him. We’ve definitely perfected our arbor installation skills together lol!

Lakeview Farms Events was a summertime dream on Saturday. Beautiful venue and amazingly helpful staff. I can’t wait to be back there soon !

I met with Bre and Ryan almost 3 years ago to plan their florals!! So this day was an exciting arrival for all of us. Bre decided to change up her whole theme to full on COLOR and it was the best decision! They are a young, vibrant and happy couple and their colors and vibe reflected that beautifully.

I couldn’t be more happy for you both. I can absolutely tell your love will last a lifetime ❤️

🎆I’ll be back with a bang the following week (week of July 1st) with some beautiful bright and patriotic celebration bouquets at The Olive Branch!

Lately my devotions have been talking a lot about rest, and I’m pretty sure I’m being told to slow down and take a minute lol… so I’m going to listen and sit this week out from special orders, weekly bouquets etc as I give our family some time to rest and catch our breath from our busiest month of the year.

I’ve actually designed florals for 9 weddings and events in the 4 weekends we’ve had so far in June along with wedding consults for next year, providing the gift of floral donations, weekly bouquets and being a wife and mama 🥰.
That might not initially sound like a lot but it’s actually just me, my hubby and our 8 year old Harper Mae! ( thank you to my brides who don’t mind her sitting in at wedding consults!)❤️

Im so excited to see where God takes this business. I’m beyond thrilled with what He has done up to this point! Never did I imagine at my lowest, the blessings that were on their way. Better than I could have ever even thought to ask for.

When the fall sunrise decides to coordinate with your bride’s wedding colors🥰🤩

This was from an early November wedding last year. I can’t wait to see all the little hidden blessings that are in store for this weekend’s brides!

Colors of sunny yellows, greens and whites with a wildflower feel; blush,navy, whites and cream with a boho rustic vibe; a joyful and colorful wildflower celebration with an elegant touch and lastly a ceremony by the bay featuring light blues, and whites are all currently underway in the design room💃.
