This couple🤍 These flowers🤍 I loved creating this boho dream day for Emma & Tyler! Loved everything about this June wedding….except the tornado🌪! We did NOT love the tornado! But we all made it through safely & it definitely made for one beautiful, unforgettable wedding!
Shout out to the sweetest, most patient bride ever for sticking with me and trusting me while I took almost a year off to recover from Covid. Two brief phone conversations, some Pinterest inspiration pics, & a few text messages and not meeting the bride until the day of her wedding….and you know what? I think Emma & I got it just right!!🌸💗

A micro wedding celebration dinner in the mountains called for tablescapes full of lush, colorful flowers arranged in vintage green glass, layers of velvet, chiffon and silk hand dyed with flowers, and dried bouquets stemming from moss. Tiny, fragrant place card bouquets, pine cones, little bundles of aspen wood, and smooth river rock in shades of green. The glow of romantic candlelight. Vibrant, unforgettable and beautifully colorful!
Thankful for a bride and groom that trusted me with complete creative freedom to design from the heart!💗🌿

Good morning from the garden!🌿 I grabbed my coffee and clippers so I could do a little deadheading as I walked along. I couldn’t resist making a little bouquet!

Deadheading is basically keeping the faded, dead flowers pruned off of the plant. It keeps the garden looking attractive , but more importantly it encourages more flowers to continue blooming. Otherwise the plant will put it’s energy into producing seeds instead of pretty flowers!
Definitely one of those garden chores like weeding that isn’t fun but worth the effort to have a healthier, prettier garden in bloom longer!🌸
Oh, and look at how wild and wonderful the wisteria is growing on the pergola!! It really is such an easy, beautiful vine to grow. Just give it something strong to climb on and occasionally wind or train the vines to go in the direction you are wanting. Love it!

Tall, beautiful iris fill my garden with color in late spring. This yellow beauty will fit right in with the latest color trends. The Pantone Colors for 2021 are a cheerful, bright yellow called “Illuminating” and a dependable “Ultimate Gray”. 💛🤍

Jewel tone luxury florals with an exotic touch of peacock feathers! I walked into the floral cooler without a plan...only a peacock feather in hand for inspiration and creative freedom to follow my color and flower instincts. I love the mix of burgundy cymbidium orchids, soft pink mink protea, black scabiosa, brown lisianthus, draping red amaranthus and more.

By February I am in full garden flower withdrawal! I can’t wait for clematis blossoms to be in bloom again on every trellis, fence, and post possible! Here are some basic tips for growing my favorite of vines:
🌿clematis are long growing and don’t like to be moved so choose a spot with good drainage where they can live happily for a long time
🌿they bloom best in full sunlight but like to have shaded roots so add a good layer of compost and mulch and plant other perennial flowers around them like lavender or catmint to provide shade to the base of the vine.
🌿clematis are climbers so plant next to a trellis, fence, stone wall, post, or another sturdy vine to provide something to attach to for strong support
🌿delicate, twining stems can only attach themselves to objects about 1/4 inch in diameter or smaller so provide added support like chicken wire, twine roping etc as needed to help vines get established
🌿if you have space consider planting two different varieties side by side to have varied colors and blooming times
🌿clematis blossoms are very large and showy and come in varying shades of lavender, blue, violet, purple, white, pink, and red. Bloom time runs from spring to fall depending on the variety.

I’m dreaming of a white Christmas with this little snowy village and white flower filled tree. Little hand tied bouquets of white majolica spray roses, white carnations, white hypericum berries, Brazilian berries, mixed winter evergreens and seeded eucalyptus were placed in between branches draped in soft white fur garland. Glittered pine needle branches were tucked in for sparkle.
