Very cool and informative Intetesting fact: while training the cyclists need to eat a 10,000 calorie diet because they burn about 9000 on the hours long rides. That is equivalent to 27 cheeseburgers a day!! I said I may need to become a cyclist lol.

Thrilled to have been able to celebrate and have my team capture my cousin Vanessa's wedding a couple weeks ago to James. It was truly a beautiful October day at The Crescent Beach Club in Bayville NY for their 😍. My cousin is such a beauty with one of my favorite laughs and smiles. We have loved James since she brought him into our lives years ago . I knew this day would eventually come, and it was absolutely beautiful and filled with emotion. Loved seeing not 1 but 2 past couples at yesterday's at . The air was chilly but the couple's love warmed us so it was smiles all around on this beautiful day. Happy to hear these couples are doing great and their families are growing. Love it!! Of course silly me, I missed a selfie with the actual bride and groom, lol.

Today, 9/11, is a day we'll never forget. I was actually in Brooklyn that morning working on a independent film as a boom operator. One of the PAs came out of the bar (where we sort of set up an area to hang) and said a plane hit one of the twin towers. At first we thought it was a cessna and some poor unfortunate soul bounced off the tower. The news was filtering in a range of reports and we just wondered how could that happen?? The director wanted to keep working but when the next plane hit we realized this was no accident and a darker reality set in. My dad worked as a driver in the city, so I checked on him, and thankfully he was still home. I told him to get on the news quickly and stay home. Others checked in on their friends, roommates, associates and loved ones.

When the unthinkable happened and the towers collapsed we all stood in horrified disbelief. Minutes later we even got hit with the impact smoke blowing through the streets out where we were. The tragedy was unfathomable, an attack of that proportion on our soil, but more importantly all those lives. People just on their way home, or going on a trip, or reporting to work, or just walking by below, the heroism of those on Flight 93 knowing they were doomed but wanting to prevent further tragedy and fighting back.

The hours, days, weeks and months that followed were frightening, heartbreaking, and inspiring. We had 24/7 news about the terrorism, the names and motivations of our attackers, daily color coded threat alerts, a war. We listened to heartbreaking stories from passengers and workers, and even actual messages shared with and by their loved ones. We mourned their loss and continue to mourn to this day. We were also inspired as we witnessed the strength and bravery of our first responders and citizens from around the country coming to help however they could. We truly came together as a country with a purpose, and showed the best of what we could be.

All these years later the magnitude of it is still so hard to grasp. More first responders have been added to the list of 9/11 deaths. Their deaths came as a result of the exposure to everything in the air while they were out their being heroes during that time. The tragedy continues, so we must never forget. Pray for all the lives lost, the families affected, the first responders and others still suffering. Pray that we can heal as a country and come together again. Pray we can work together to build a better future for US and the world, and pray for peace. I hope you find some peace on this day of remembrance.

Check out Jessica and Kevin's beautiful wedding day at The Stone House Restaurant & Event Venue. Such a great place to film. Kevin was definitely nervous about being on cam, but I'm good at helping people relax and enjoy their day. Loved hearing from Jessica when we sent it back in June that she "ugly cries" every time she watches it 🥰 Definitely want my couples to be emotionally invested in their film and each other 😄
