Now that looks like a fun day!!
Our 2021 End of Season club-wide celebration yesterday🎉 It was perfect weather, a great turnout from most of our families with around 250 people there, but we surely missed those who couldn’t make it because of prior obligations☹️. We had the Incrediburger Food Truck, Taco Works Food Truck, JumpN2Fun bounce house, an ice cream truck for the kids, and our World Renowned DJ Tom - aka Coach Tom🤣😜!
A super, duper, special thank you shoutout to our families who helped pull this off with their sponsorships; Vieth Law, Black Sheep Sporting Goods, the Eat Good Group, and S&S Industries. You are a HUGE blessing♥️
Thank you to our families and kids for making it a wonderful season. Thank you A MILLION TIMES OVER to our coaches who are investing their time into the boys to help them become better ball players, and more importantly, better young men. We’ve had numerous parents this year come to us and tell us their son was on the verge of NOT wanting to play ball anymore, or “they didn’t even want to play this season”, or “he said he didn’t like baseball anymore because of……”, “but because of Coach_____ or Coach_____ (etc.) they’ve regained the love for playing and can’t wait till next year!!” THAT IS HUGE♥️⚾️!!!!! Our coaches who have cared for, guided these boys with wisdom, treated them with respect while coaching them in life and sport, teaching mental toughness, working through adversity, holding them accountable for their attitudes and behaviors, taking responsibility for their actions - good or bad, teaching self evaluation (for the players AND coaches!!), learning to own their weaknesses (and work through it) while developing their strengths, is unmeasurable.
This season, we had the sadness of our dear Coach Bill’s passing, and also the opposite of celebration over wins after being down in a slump. Some teams grew closer in relationship, while some are struggling to continue learning how to turn it around. It’s all a work in progress…. and we’re all still learning.
Parents, we thank you again for all of your time invested (cuz it’s A LOT of time out of your lives as well!!), thank you for trusting RCBC with your son, thank you for trusting the process and working through it with us. We are fixing the kinks every year and learning from our mistakes.
