2020 is officially in the books!

Everyone has a story to tell from this past year, and I’m no different. In mid-March when the country entered lockdown, I really didn’t think much of it. But as days turned into weeks, and weeks turned into months, I slowly accepted the harsh reality of what 2020 would be. COVID was obviously devastating to the wedding industry. All in all, I had 19 cancelled or rescheduled weddings.

Couples have been forced to put their life on hold in order to celebrate their dream wedding, but I am confident that it will have been worth the wait! However, I did have 8 couples last year successfully pull off unbelievably creative, adaptive, and beautiful weddings and I am so happy for each and every one of them.

I’m beyond thankful to have a job that I genuinely missed during my time off last spring and summer. I’m now entering my 8th season and I feel as passionate and hungry as I did 150 some-odd weddings ago. I am proud to have stayed positive despite the frustrations, uncertainty, and chaos—and I am ready for any new challenges that lie ahead.

Ordinarily, I like to end my seasons with a Year In Review video, but I am going to save up the footage for 2021’s recap. In the meantime, here are some of favorite frames from 2020!
