TRUTH & REMEMBRANCE
A multi-sensory experience for Yom HaZikaron (Day of Remembrance)
The day before Yom Ha’atzmaut (Israel’s Independence Day) is Yom HaZikaron (Day of Remembrance).

This is the national day of remembrance in Israel, commemorating the soldiers and victims of terror who have lost their lives defending our country.

We must remember and honor those who have fallen in defense of the state of Israel before celebrating its existence.

This year, we dedicate Yom HaZikaron to all those who lost their lives in the horrors of October 7 and its aftermath.

An installation will be accessible for self-guided walkthroughs at Temple Beth Abraham

Sunday, May 12th, 6:30 PM to 9:30 PM

Sunday, May 12th 6:30- 9:30pm, at

TEMPLE BETH ABRAHAM

327 MacArthur Boulevard, Oakland, CA 94610

Around the world, and here in the Bay Area, the atrocities of that fateful day seem to have been forgotten. Men, women and children of all ages, religions and nationalities - from tiny babies to elderly Holocaust survivors - were brutalized, murdered, r***d and kidnapped. We cannot allow the world to forget what happened on October 7 and how this heartbreaking war was ignited.

We cannot forget the 132 hostages still being held captive by Hamas.

We are currently preparing an installation, featuring short clips, a photography exhibit, and a video installation.

This day serves as an opportunity for our community to unite and share our collective narrative. We encourage you to invite both Jewish and non-Jewish friends to participate in this meaningful experience.

Part of installation will be shown at Pomella restaurant in Oakland on Monday May 13 from 11:00am until the evening.

Together with the Jewish Community of Piedmont we will be showing the installation at Piedmont Center for the Arts

801 Magnolia Ave, Piedmont

Wednesday May 15, 7:00-9.30pm.

Additionally, the event will showcase a musical concert by Orion Stone, Israeli musician and music producer whose family members were murdered and kidnapped by Hamas on Oct 7
