We are so grateful to have been featured in the December issue of ❤️ Moving our main office & Warehouse to Topeka was a big leap of faith but it has turned out to be an amazing decision!! Topeka has been warm and welcoming and the new location has lead to many new events in the Topeka & Lawrence areas! (Don’t worry, MHK we still have a full time team in town and love our Manhattan events!) the photos were taken in our showroom by the Lifestyles Team. If you haven’t been out, be sure to stop by the open house on January 21st to see our location!

Fun fact: Abby took the interview just before heading to the hospital to give birth to her 3rd son! Never a dull moment around the Along Came Abby team.

Our very own, Mackenzie a Rising Star nominee for 2023 ✨

A well deserved nomination! Mackenzie quit her teaching job at the end of last school year to fulfill a passion for serving others and creating beautiful events along the way!! We are so thankful she joined our team! She has been the perfect addition that Bre and I never knew we needed ❤️ Our clients absolutely love her and it sounds like her vendors do too!! Thank you KC vendor community for lifting her up!!

Hi ya’all! Just a quick update - we survived (and had fun doing it!) Our photography and videography friends have a few more weeks of editing day and night (Send them coffee!! They need it! ☕️) but most of the industry gets a minute to breathe here before December sets in and it feels good!! 2022 - the busiest wedding year since the baby boomers all said I do in the 80’s - and holy cow has the wedding industry changed since then! Thankful for this profession that gives us new challenges and a year full of the most wonderful clients 🤍✨

Disco balls are getting all the love these days and we are absolutely here for it 🪩🤍

Love the disco ball look?
Tips below 👇🏻

🪩 gather multiple sizes of disco balls so they can be placed together! Add to tables, floors, hang with fishing line - the more layers the better!

🪩 pair with natural elements - dried flowers or neutral colors if you aren’t wanting to go full blown disco vibes

🪩 make sure the sunlight hits the disco balls for a few photos! Peep the last 2 photos for all the disco sparkle ✨ (and a glimpse of our boss lady, Abby and her soon to be 3rd babe)

I would also highly recommend a sparkler exit with just the wedding party! It’s a lot less people to gather, it leaves more time for photos/videos and then your wedding reception can end with everyone celebrating instead of asking everyone to stand in line and hold fire (after a few cocktails 😉)

Happy Holidays Loves!

I’m walking into my 9th year in the wedding industry and I have never had a year as trying as 2021. We planned, re-planned, rebuilt and learned a LOT of lessons! It’s strange being an expert in an unprecedented time, Emily Post didn’t leave us with any hospitality advice during the pandemic… but we worked hard, paved new paths and walked away with clients that became friends and vendors that we are beyond grateful for!

I truly feel that 2022 will be our best year! This holiday season I wish you lots of time with the ones you love and of course a kiss to ring in 2022! Merry Christmas and Happy New Year!
