Planning on signing the Kettubah at your wedding? I’ve found the best time to do this is in the 30 minutes before the ceremony.

The guests will be arriving at that time, so you’ll want to be tucked away behind the scenes anyway. Make sure to have your parents, wedding party or witnesses, and Rabbi ready in a room with a table and a few chairs ahead of the ceremony. The Rabbi will typically lead this, but confirm this with them before the big day.

And don’t forget a nice black pen, and easel, if you’d like to also have it displayed during the actual ceremony.

While it’s certainly not necessary, consider adding some flowers or candles to your place card table, if the budget allows.

It’s often one of the first things your guests will see when entering the reception, and won’t look empty or forgotten once all the place cards have been taken 😍

Quick wedding day tip: make sure to take some time, even just 5-10 minutes, before the guests arrive for just the two of you on your wedding day.

You’ve likely heard it 100’s of times, but the day is going to absolutely fly by. Once the party starts, it may be difficult to take a moment to step back and take a deep breath together.

Personally, I love it when our couples can take a moment to look at their reception room before we let the guests in. It let’s you see the result of your hard work and planning, and also gives you that quiet few minutes together, before you celebrate with your loved ones.

Any other wedding pro’s going into “nesting mode” as the wedding season slows down here in Michigan? For me, that always means wanting to organize EVERYTHING, especially my disaster of a Dropbox account.

While that’s going to take some time, I’m excited to relive past weddings, I’ll definitely be sharing pics as I go through them. These pics are from one of my fav tented weddings, but it definitely wasn’t the original plan for Anna & Michael’s 2021 wedding. I’d say it all worked out pretty nicely though, huh?

The craziness of wedding season is over for us, and I’m realizing what an awful job I’ve done sharing images from the season 😫.

Let me start fixing that, starting with a couple of images we just used for our 2024 Wedding Trends pod and blog! Ryan & Derick were the sweetest grooms to work with, and I loved that they used floral pocket squares as an alternative to a boutonnière.
