Sunday at The Barn at Bridlewood was really something very special! We absolutely loved working with Craig and Taylor and despite the rain it was a PERFECT day! They even had a perfect and clear rainbow and sunset after the ceremony.

There are a lot of new faces here, so I would like to take this opportunity to reintroduce myself..

I’m Lauren, the owner and lead planner at Lulabelle Weddings and Events. This summer I celebrated four years since I officially launched this business! I’ve always loved weddings, and after years of event planning (and many trips down the aisle as a bridesmaid), I knew it was time to take my talents into the wedding industry. 4 years and over 60 weddings later, I love this job more than I ever imagined I would! Getting to know my clients and feeling like I’ve made new friends by the time wedding day comes around is such a privilege and I’m forever thankful for the couples that invite me to come alongside them on their most special day.

When I’m not wedding planning you can find me chasing a 10 month old baby girl around the house or watching sitcoms on the couch with my husband after the baby goes to bed. I love to cook and read, both of which I haven’t done nearly as much since becoming a mom, but it’s worth it every second!

A groom’s cake or a “fun cake” is a great place for couples to showcase interests and passions they have. It’s fun to see all of the different cakes from wedding to wedding!

What is the most unique groom’s cake you have seen?? Anybody have any red velvet armadillos at their wedding like the groom’s cake from Steel Magnolias?? LOL 😂

What a spread! What’s the first thing you’re tasting at this table? I’m going straight for those strawberries!

I often remind my clients when we’re discussing catering, that choosing a caterer is more than just selecting your food choices, it’s selecting the caterer who’s styling skills match up with the designs you have in mind! Ask to see photos of their table setup if you’re looking for a beautiful spread on top of delicious food.

I always love when my clients want to add in personal touches throughout their day. Alex + Austin personalized their reception space by adding this beautiful custom monogram to several pieces throughout the wedding, and we used lighting pros Gulf South Productions to turn it into an 6 foot gobo on the dance floor wall surrounded by florals.

Dogwood Venue is one of my favorites in the Hattiesburg area. Being such a beautiful space already, not much décor is needed to wow your guests.
