We can't help that is the best band in the world, that's just how it is 🤷‍♀️ We were lucky enough to snare the one n' only Andy Butler between H&LA's current tour for a stop on planet a Detroit. You won't miss it, right? He's visiting this Thursday- you know, the *real* start of the weekend...

As the driving force behind Hercules and Love Affair, Andy's songs are unique creatures, swaying clubs and festivals, but also boasting a punctilious attention to orchestration and lyrics bite- and as a DJ or the first order, his devotion to dance music always ran parallel to his facination with the freedom offered by Disco's hedonism.

Welcome to 18 years of taking the authentic path with those who know best! We're beyond honored to share in our birthday with the legendary 💕 

When considering our guest for this one, we wanted to select an artist who not only welcomed us to the unequivocal beauty of the Midwest dance floor, but one who we have grown into artists of our own by studying (and singing along to) the blueprint of. It could only be 's own co-founder- DJ, dance music producer, experimental pop artist, professor, bandleader, and part-time Audion 👻 That's a lot, and yet, there is only one Matthew Dear...

Also, while H2D has long been the Jon and Ash show (we've been working on sharing the spotlite a bit over the years, can't you tell?) It's always a bit better when our OFFICIAL-official third member, comes thru and shows us how it's done. 

This is 18 big years of good looks, bad decisions, and tenderness on the dance floor. Old enough to be a legal adult, but never really act like it...

Had the extreme pleasure of catching discuss the Art & Artifice for 25 at Cranbrook last week, and we loved this photo of so much we decided to book him for our own anniversary this month (just kidding, we were already planning on it. Could you imagine?)

Lots to be grateful for this month at Marby's Bar and Grill! Marble just rounded out their first decade, and we're on deck celebrating EIGHTEEN big years of good looks, bad decisions, and tendern as on th dance floor (it's also the same night as our wedding anniversary, like Marble, we are also 10 🥲)

We missed you this month, but only because we've been hard at work on our 18 YEAR Anniversary affair, 10/18 (plus some fun November, December, and NYE festivities, too‼️) If you need to see us right *now* we're scratching on the 🎱 at Paris, if you wanna see us slightly later, is on patio duty for at Marby's Bar n' Grill tomorrow, 9/27 💥 Either way, 🎫🎫 for October are currently available on RA, so like, why not?
