Itās that TIME AGAIN! Vallejo is celebrating itās 23rd Community Kwanzaa. It is celebrated nationally and starts December 26, the day after Christmas for 7 days ending on Imani~January 1st.
Each day has a specific meaning.
Our day December 30th is Nia āPurposeā which means to us: āTo make our collective vocation the building and developing of our community, in order to restore our people to their traditional greatnessā.
There will be food, āFirst Fruitsā, a speaker, entertainment & drummers. Our honorees are Ms. Sharon Henry, former Assistant
District Attorney of Solano County, young supporters of Kwanzaa, Zoe & Shiloh Drake, Keith Thompson & founder Kyrah Ayers of Poetry by the Bay.
Come join us...ALL are welcomed. Bring your families and especially our youth. Our history must not be lost. Let's
support this events 23rd year in true Kwanzaa tradition. If you can, wear your African regalia.
Please, this will be a safe indoor environment. Masks are suggested. Let's keep EVERYONE safe. YOU MATTER!
