Weddings have a flow, there is no denying that and during the ceremony, the processional is a big part of it. Now, as wedding planners and day of coordinators, our job includes helping the happy couple decide who goes first, escorts or no escorts, grandparents or not, and so much more.

Then you also have to take into account different traditions as different cultures have varied ways of doing this as well.

It is always important to take into account what the couple is looking for as far as aesthetic (tallest to shortest), relationships (people closest to them) and of course, tradition.

The most important thing is to make it down the aisle, now getting there can be time consuming but fun. Thankfully, we have rehearsals to iron out any kinks in the system and make sure its "just right".

We would love to congratulate our amazing couple, Ernie and Sabrina on their marriage. The way that this couple showed their love for each other, just in their eyes alone was inspiring. Something out of a storybook. There was not a dry eye in the house as they exchanged vows and with the speeches that came later in the reception. The love that was felt in this space on this day filled the rooms and were a reminder that soulmates are possible and that when you find "the one", your heart just knows.

Congratulations Ernie & Sabrina! Thank you for letting me into your family for the day to help things come together so that you could enjoy your magic. May your marriage be full of all the laughter you both share daily, the respect and strength you exemplify, the friendship that was your foundation and most of all, the love you both hold firm for one another.

Traditions are great! We love traditions - they evoke memories and reminders of what we dreamed of as children but sometimes, traditions can be not so great.

Some traditions can cause anxiety or trigger emotions that you do not want to be feeling on your wedding day and that is totally fine.

Your wedding is your day to celebrate as you want to. The purpose of the wedding is to celebrate your love, your commitment to one another - not to do the same thing your sister and all 6 cousins did.

Your wedding should evoke your style, your personalities and what makes you, as a couple, special. If that is to go with tradition - we are all here for it. But, if that means stepping outside of the box, then go for it and you do you boo.

We won't judge, promise 😉

Photos are physical representations of your memories. That is why it is so important to know what photos you want, which ones are a must have, and which ones you can do without. Your photographer will more than likely provide you with a "shots list" to choose from and you can add some special ones too but always remember that this impacts your timeline. As your wedding planner, we will work with your photographer to make sure that you get all of the shots that you want and time is managed so that you can spend less time posing and more time celebrating.
