Our beautiful little venue is the perfect place for any smaller occasion. Max capacity is 125. We offer 71 chairs inside and 8 patio tables and seating for outside space. 9 five ft round tables and 4 six ft rectangle tables, a new electric fireplace and also a serving bar. We also have a propane firepit we can add to the patio for an extra fee. Here at The MEC we pride ourselves on keeping cost down so that anyone can have a beautiful place to celebrate. Located behind the Old Mitchell School, we are inside what used to be the old cafeteria/auditorium, now called The MEC (Mitchell Event Center). The MEC features a large 20x30 stage for entertainment or arches and decor and 1300 sq ft of floor space. Three-quarters of the room is canvased by large half wall windows that allow beautiful natural light to pour in. We have hosted everything from book signings to weddings here since we first opened the doors back in November 2023. Birthdays and Showers are what we see the most of here.
But any and all are welcome!

Please be advised that we have had issues with children and teens attempting to play/slide/run up the slides on the side of the school. These are very old fire escape slides and not meant to be played on. The probability of injury is high and we are NOT responsible for children who are not supervised by their parents on the Mitchell Artisan property. All individuals attending an event in the MEC are required to stay inside the MEC unless they are accompanied by an adult. The MEC is not responsible for any accidents that may occur due to unsupervised minors. Fees will be charged for any damages to the property and will not assume any liability for injury or harm. Thank you for being a responsible and respectful guest of our historic campus.
