It is with great regret that I even have to make this announcement, about our team member Daelicious. Several nights ago, in North Philadelphia, Daelicious was brutally attacked, by three teenagers in North Philadelphia. It's my understanding that Dae did go to the hospital for care, but was sent home with pain meds. Daelicious, sadly, was found unresponsive by his room mate. Dae, did not survive his injuries.
My heart is shattered. Daelicious was one of the backbones of this company, and also became family. He was like another son to me. He was also one of my daughters best friends. He lit up a room . Our audience and venues, love him and always request for him to come back. He was fire. He was fierce. If you know Dae, you know he was, as we all say, a boneless Beyblade, that was always the life of the party. He was one of the stubborn-ist people, but also one of the most talented, kindest souls, I have ever met. There is nothing like a "Daelicious Experience".
I have sooooo many beautiful memories of Dae, that I will try to share, over time, when I am able. I edited this video as I sat in the ICU waiting room at the hospital. I have been at the hospital the last few days, as my own mother has suffered severe strokes, and many other life threatening things. This week has me crushed. I feel like I am living in a fog. I wish I had the mental capacity to post sooner about Dae. So my apologies to anyone waiting to hear something about him. I will never understand how someone could ever do this to anyone. I pray that they find justice for my sweet baby Dae. I loved you so much and will miss you more than you will ever know. Twirl high baby. Slay and Bey in Paradise.
As Pride month nears, our shows in June will all be a tribute to Daelicious in some way.
