As a mother-daughter team, we bring multiple perspectives & areas of expertise to the gown curation process. From a design & construction background to trend analysis & a refined eye, every piece hanging in Ellen’s is intentionally selected. The family-like relationship we have with our designers is a benefit to our brides due to the accessibility and true partnership allowing us a direct line to best serve our brides. Through careful consideration of the style, quality of fabric, and the overall construction of the gown, we ensure that each product hanging in Ellen’s meets our quality standards to deliver the most distinguished designs to our brides. ‘Twas the night before re-opening, when all through the shop
Not a beauty was stirring, as if time did stop.
The dresses were hung on gold racks with great care
In hopes that our brides-to-be soon would be there.

The A-lines and Ballgowns and Fit & Flares too.
Many all ivory and some subtle hues.
With sparkles and glitter, the refreshed boutique
Was waiting for YOU to find something unique.

When on Market Street, the morning sun rose,
The bridal shop gleamed with fresh bridal “clothes.”
Away to the window we flew like a flash,
Tore open the shutters, threw open the sash.

When what to our wondering eyes should appear,
Ellen’s stylists with gowns they soon would premiere
To so many brides, so lively and quick,
Who knew in a moment: “This must be my pick!!”
With all dresses now priced under 1-k
Brides couldn’t go wrong by coming our way.

So, to Ellen’s Bridal in Wabash, they flew

Ellen’s Bridal began as a dream in January 2012, opening its doors on Canal Street in Wabash, IN. Named after our owner, Lisa Ellen Downs, and her daughter, Ciara Ellen Short, our boutique carries the legacy of Martha Ellen Hawkins Pugh, the great aunt who inspired their names. ❤️
What started as a consignment boutique with prom dresses and tux rentals has grown into something truly special. In 2018, we made our move to 45 West Market Street and embraced our full focus on creating unforgettable “Ellen’s Experience” for our brides—helping them find the dress that reflects their love story. 💍
