Had a wonderful time at the 2024 Bliss Bridal Bash! Thank you to all that came out and the wonderful brides and moms I got to talk to!

I displayed my wedding dress and another jumpsuit I made on top of the one I wore to show off my work! It was fun putting together the black one this week and is so comfortable!!

It’s Prom & Spring/Summer Wedding season

PLEASE Do Not Wait to book your alterations! Please know if less than a 1 month notice in formal wear (prom and bridal) there is an automatic rush fee added to alteration fee starting at $25 and goes up from there each week with more rush.
Please know it is just me, sole seamstress! I can only take in so much and I can only see so many people for consults a week or deadlines won’t get completed in an orderly fashion!
I strive to have alterations ready 1-2 weeks from your deadline/event date. ❤️

Hi
I have had several people come to me asking if I teach sewing. I have decided since most schools don’t offer home economics anymore that I would offer a 3-4 day sewing camp for young children age groups 8-10 years old and 11-13 years old for basic beginner sewing. I am working on the exact details but the very first thing I learned to sew at 8 years old was a pillow case, I still have it to this day! The next thing I learned was how to sew was pajama shorts! But the first day will be spent learning their machine if they got one for Christmas like some did (I also will have 2-3 machines available to use for beginners) and how to read a pattern. Everything else will be provided from pattern to fabric and thread, I will have options for your child to select their fabric choices beforehand at sign up. And their will also we snacks provided.
I’ve consider doing one during spring break and/or summer. Let me know your thoughts; pricing is still being determined per child

I don’t have much black in my closet, I have to wear black for the Bliss Bridal Show this weekend. Whipping me up a black pant jumpsuit to show off my work while attending show, Emmy Red Capet look has given me inspiration, the fabric I have is sheer and will require a liner, I’m going with n**e to give it the illusion it deserves! Stay tuned for the outcome, first photo is my fabric selection, other photos are inspiration!!

A few months ago I was given the opportunity to make a dozen Rangerette dance uniforms for the University High School Highlighters for their Officers and Linemen.
This was a fun job and I can’t wait to make more when the new dancers join the team next school year!

Bride Amanda married the love of her life CJ yesterday, 12-31-23! I was delighted to have the opportunity to do this alteration! Amanda is a dear friend of mine, she wanted me to make her dress but in the time frame we had it wasn’t possible. The overlay of this dress was way too long in front but with the detail wasn’t removable as it was fused to the tulle so I had to alter and lift it up from the waist line to side seams. The zipper was also busted and wouldn’t zip all the way up so I replaced that!
Stunning, glowing bride, happy beautiful couple! Congratulations!!

Went to thrift store got this dress 50% off today perfect for a fun project. Not as much lace as I’d hoped but looked all week didn’t find much but I’ll manage. I am going to make a bridal robe out of this thrifted dress to display at my next Bridal expo 1/21 in Temple as well as a video of process mid January!
Take mom or grandmas dress and re purpose it for a get ready day of robe. I’m already thinking of different ideas and hoping to incorporate the ruching/folds of the top in the robe as well! Possibly bottom cuff of sleeves or make them into 2 outer pockets! Satin and Organza with lace!!

I’m Haley, the owner/founder and sole seamstress of Couture & Sew Much More. I have been sewing professionally for the last 10 years on the side of a full time job. (But have been sewing for nearly 20 years)
I recently got married last month and as a seamstress took on the challenge of making my wedding gown. A lot of people thought I was crazy, not me since this is what I love to do! I took months finding the perfect fabric, knew I wanted a detachable train, for it to appear to be see through, but not actually my flesh and floating shoulders and neck line, and of course pockets! However, leaving my dental assistant career after 13.5 years September of this year, I didn’t realize how busy I would get with sewing orders since I do strive to help people the most and best I can with it just being me. This only left myself a week to make my dress 😬 1 day of cutting everything out and 5 days of putting it together. 🤯I said yes to my dress in front of my 2 best friends in my hotel room the night before our wedding day.🫣 In the end I felt like the most beautiful princess in my dress, marrying my wonderful and amazing husband, in our beautiful church, it was the most perfect day! 🤵‍♂️💒👰‍♀️
