Part-Time (Contract) Marketing Manager Wanted for Nonprofit Theater Company (5 – 10 hours/week)

The Inspired Acting Company (IAC), a small, community-focused theater company is seeking a passionate and creative part-time marketing manager to help promote our productions and engage with our audience. This is an excellent side-gig opportunity and a way to use your marketing skills to make a real impact on a local arts organization.

Responsibilities:
o Develop and execute marketing strategies to drive ticket sales and build brand awareness.
o Write and distribute press releases.
o Write and distribute monthly e-mail newsletters and announcements via IAC’s Mailchimp account.
o Pitch media stories.
o Respond to media inquiries as appropriate.
o Create engaging content like graphics, videos, and copy for promotions.
o Write and post online/community calendar listings.
o Social Media review/strategy guidance/data analysis.
o Act as liaison with press and critics.
o Coordinate with the artistic team to align marketing with upcoming shows.
o Analyze marketing metrics and campaign performance to optimize efforts
o Other reasonable duties as needed.

Requirements:
• 1-2 years of experience in marketing, communications, or a related field
• Strong writing, design, and creative skills
• Familiarity with social media platforms and digital marketing tools
• Ability to work independently and collaborate with a small team
• Enthusiasm for the performing arts and supporting the local community

This is a part-time position (5-10 hours per week average) with flexible scheduling. We pay a monthly rate of $500.

Drop-In Improv Class

SATURDAY, JANUARY 11th, 2025 at Noon!

Join us for a pay-what-you-can improv class taught by Artistic Director, Jeff Thomakos! Jeff has decades of experience in improvisation including work at IO Chicago, The Second City Training Conservatory, Dudley Riggs Brave New Workshop (Minneapolis) and more. Learn the fundamentals of improvisation, play some improv games, and have fun!!

This one day workshop is free, but, of course, we accept any donations you think is fair.

Classes are open to students 17 and up (Don't worry kids classes will be offered soon).

Whether you are a seasoned improvisor or brand new, we guarantee that you will find value in this two and a half our class.

Please dress for movement (no tight-fitting clothes).
