In 7 days….we share the next chapter in the journey called life. I’m absolutely 100% going to be emo 🫣.

The final 3- feels surreal some days that we’re HERE.
To know in 8 months, I’ll be spending so much time in another state it will be a second home for me.

Saturday, November 2nd, @ 2:00PM where it all started for the kid Trinidad Recreation Center in NE. And we wanna extend the invite to come irl and join in the announce for yall who either have supported Acaden directly, support him through knowing his pops and I, or just see and appreciate his grind and talent and growth and love that he’s a pure DC rooted kid taking his dreams to the next level and wanna see him win PERIOD.

This day is meant to be a celebration of family, community, and gratitude. After the announcement, we will sharing grilled food and refreshments true cookout style complimentary for the special commitment day and spinning tunes on site until 4:00PM.

took us on a journey and I was just lucky enough to be invited in on the adventure…..

My love tried to buy them for me as a suprise to add to my look but was apparantly already moved to gift them to me herself from her own design accessory company bc she’s a DOLL and I love when I run into her energy! Needless to say, I was surrounded by endless love and generosity. Please take a look at her GORGE pieces, they give straight flow & statement , been obsessed with everything about them since the first time I laid eyes 😍

And I HAVE to just mention the woman behind it all simply bc she’s is such an extroadinarily visionary and she does these amazing things - like this kumbaya of hella fun - in our very own city for years….and you may not even know bc she doesn’t put herself in the spotlight as she lets everyone else on board shine - yessss you luv! 💖

And “showed up” needs a whole new phrase bc lemme tell yall….. Purple Carpet had crazy style, talent and love for the city dripping on its fabric in puddles!

, enormous thanks to you for this 39th year of throwing down this celebrating excellence and contribution in everything arts in our hometown - and for adding in a new category for gogo this year that was SUPER needed. The way the room lit up for to take the 🥁 on this one.

And let me not NOT say, thank you for having ME 🩶 biggest love to for always trusting + putting me behind the lens to rep our N S E W sides proper (and dressed for nothin less cause my first text back was “ooo soooo should I wear a gown?” followed by their “no lol” 😂😛😎)
