It might still be literally 100 degrees in Austin but farewell to “official” summer. 🍂 You brought us adventure, self-discovery, connection with family and friends and pushed us to the brink with international travel mishaps 😂
Now don’t mind me I’ll just be sweating it out over here in chunky sweaters sipping my harvest moon milk latte from till it finally cools down 🥵

Once a quarter ben and I each try to get away for a little self care solo staycation. Before I go I always feel harried, stressed and like I “shouldn’t” leave the kids. But a few hours later, pages into my book or latest project with a cocktail and snack poolside I exhale and relax and remember why even though it’s hard to orchestrate, this time is so damn worth it. I come back relaxed, rejuvenated, inspired and a better mom and partner. This post is my reminder to not stress about leaving when my next solo retreat comes up. 😂 Shout out to for not only booking this for me but picking up the slack at home while I’m gone too 💕

First day of school AND a fourth birthday on the same day and I’m a puddle 😭 time really is a thief. Happy birthday to the sweetest boy who can always make us laugh, picks flowers for me on walks in the park, loves his sister and his friends so much, is the best travel buddy (minus the non-negotiable toddler meltdowns of course) and overall just brings so much joy to our lives.

Since getting pregnant with Ava my creative energy has kind of taken a nose dive but it felt so good to put paint on paper/canvas again today. When we had our house painted gave me these awesome painter pants from his crew and they complete the perfect art day outfit ❤️

Still can’t believe this intelligent, curious, hilarious and sweet boy is mine. Here’s to all the moms out there, who helps keep me afloat when “mom-ing” gets tough, our own moms who have watched Asher countless days and nights so we can do some alone time getaways and local austin aunties and who sometimes feel like moms to Asher 😂 couldn’t do it without it you all ❤️
