Hello 👋🏽 - My name is Shanaée and I'm the proud owner of Pretty in Pink Events. Over the years, as my passion for weddings has grown, so has my want and need to service the less fortunate in our community grown as well. As someone that has experienced temporary homelessness when I became a new mother many moons again, I understand the financial,
mental, physical, and spiritual challenges that come along with housing insecurity. Also, as a Muslim and believer of God, I understand that it is my duty to give to those that may be experiencing tough times.
This winter I am creating Winter Care Kits for the homeless across the City of Alexandria. Alexandria, Virginia is home for me and I want to make sure I am helping my community as much as I can. This project, called Helping Hands, is aimed to service the homeless community, especially in the Black and Brown communities.
