Happy Earth Day, flower friends! 🌎 You’re already doing a great service to our planet by shopping and supporting local flowers, but here are a few more things you can do to be more sustainable and friendly to Mother Earth with your flowers:
🌿 Compost your blooms when you’re ready to say goodbye to them
🌿 Research native plants and choose those when you’re plotting out your garden
🌿 Recycle or reuse the packaging material or vases that your flowers come in
🌿 If you’re sending flowers out of town, call the florist and request that they use local or American Grown flowers specifically
🌿 choose florists that support sustainable methods for their design (aka, they don’t use floral foam!)
🌿 Plant a tree 😍
