Need an escape from today's (at least now) dreariness? Head on over to Pickin' @ the Post from 1 - 3 at the Mt. Morris Trading Post Bar & Grill: An opportunity for acoustic musicians to share some tunes and for folks to enjoy: tap, nod, clap, hum along! You never know who or what you'll see and hear. Reminder: The Trading Post Bar & Grill will be closed next Thursday, 11/27, for Thanksgiving...so next Pickin' will be Thursday, December 4.

Hope he'll be back performing for Black Hawk Folkies sometime soon.......

There are some shows that mean so much to you personally that it's hard to remember to be present in the moment. That happened to me last Friday night at The Ozark Mountain Daredevils Generations show. I forgot the first words to a song, and managed to recover thanks to the kindness of some folks in the second row who knew how it kicked off. I was busy in my head admiring fellow artists, and thinking about the meaning of legacy. It's hard to articulate just how unique and influential the Daredevils are. Their sound is a guiding light home keeping myself, and many other talented Ozarks artists, true to the hills and hollers that shaped us. A huge thank you to everyone involved; It's a great honor to be included in the bunch. -Lyal
