Please join us November 3rd on The Grassy Knoll for our 16th annual WC Tailgate!!! All WC Residents, Alumni, Family and Friends are welcome!!!

Date: November 3rd
Location: Same as usual - The Grassy Knoll – 820 S College St
Time: Any time between 7:00am and 5:30pm

This year, Mick Tabbit will have his RV on site and the tailgate will extend throughout the entire game for those that are not interested in watching from the stadium.

Also new this year . . . Election Themed Bloodies!

Tickets: If you are interested in giving Tepper money, then help yourself. There will be a group staying back and watching on the big screen TV.

2024 Weddington Chase Co****le Championship 11/15

Please join us for the 7th Annual WC Co****le Championship under the lights!

There is a movie night during this same timeframe next door. So drop your kids off and come throw some bags!

All registrations and payments will be handled on SPOND. See the link if you are new to SPOND.

The cost is $20 per person ($40 per team). There will be cash prizes for 4 to 8 teams depending on the turnout. The first 32 people to sign-up in advance are in. We will keep a waiting list in case there are any last-minute changes. When you sign up, be sure to indicate your partner in the ‘comments’ field. If you need a team-mate, let us know in the ‘comment’ field and we will pair you up with a ringer. RSVP no later than Midnight, Saturday 11/9, so that we can make plans.

If you have friends from outside of the neighborhood who want to join you and play, just send them the link below. And give us a heads up. You might be able to hit the “plus” button top right to invite them. Not sure.

Congratulations to all of the 2024 WCVBA Volleyball Tournament competitors! It was a gorgeous and fun-filled day. This was our 10th annual tournament. Here’s to 10 more! Special thanks to all of the volunteers.

The WC Social Committee is hosting its annual Bike/Golf Cart Parade on July 4th. Please line up for the parade by 10:45am in the cul de sac near 7102 Stonehaven Drive. Everyone is invited to join. Decorate your bikes and carts as festive as you’d like. We will follow the leading “pace car” to the clubhouse for popsicles. Please rsvp so we know how many frozen treats to purchase.

**We are asking all bikes and carts to stay behind the pace car for safety reasons. Please help explain this to your kiddos so we can all have fun and be safe.

**Spectators are asked to step out along Stonehaven Drive and cheer on our participants around 11:00am.

Congratulations to the Marvin Ridge High School Men’s Volleyball Team!!

This weekend, they won the 2024 State Championship. Four WC young men are on the team and all started their volleyball careers right here on the neighborhood court with their baller parents.

Austin Dirr, Jack Pfizenmaier, Ben Sniegocki, and Charlie Strawderman all played and contributed to the championship. The men did not lose a single set during the tournament!

Special congratulations to Jack Pfizenmaier who was named tournament MVP.

Way to go MEN! Making WC proud!

It’s the first day of December and Girl Scout Troop 1183 is excited to announce we are planning to go Caroling for Coats next weekend! We are collecting new or gently used coats, mittens, scarves or blankets that will be donated to Turning Point, an organization that helps survivors of trauma and abuse. We will be “Caroling for Coats” next Saturday, December 11 starting at 5:00. We will sing for you in exchange for your coats! Please comment below with your address if you have coats to donate and we will come caroling next Saturday and pick up your coats. Thank you for your support!

We are a neighborhood mostly made up of transplants from all over the USA. Therefore we feel it’s important to build community. Our social committee is our largest committee that puts on 23 formal events each year. We have Wine Down Friday which is a group of moms with elementary aged children that meet every Friday afternoon. We have a tots group of moms with babies and toddlers. We also have numerous clubs to join!

Our biggest wow factor for our neighborhood, besides their friendliness, are our amazing paved and tree covered walking trails and pond, work out facility in our clubhouse and our pool with slide.
