We’re SO excited and anxious to get these seeds in! 6 acres of sunflowers, an acre of poppies, Sunn H**p around some edges and fill in (beautiful yellow flowers that repair soil for farmers’ fields.) We have such a beautiful piece of heaven here at the river… every piece makes it more amazing!

We just love the natural beauty here at the river... but it does take a lot of work to figure out what plants can stay and which ones need to get pulled! Google image has helped a lot... and we realize now that we have A LOT of mustard plants... apparently they take over the world!

Weighing in at almost 1000 pounds... our heavy weight champion... JK! It was quite a task to get this 10' wide (14' posts- 10' from the ground) arbor in place. Thank goodness for these guys and the tractor! And a shout out to the doggie helpers... how would we ever get by without saying GET BACK 45 thousand times?!

THANK YOU to all of you who stopped to talk to us at the Syracuse and Rochester bridal shows the last couple weeks. We are so thrilled with the interest in our venue! This is truly a LOVE of ours and we want to make every bride feel special and help create their picture perfect weekend celebration. As we told you, we only book one wedding a weekend, to make sure our couples feel like they are not rushed, and so they can spend as much time as they want to with their family and friends... that being said... we have more interest for this fall than dates available! We booked one of our three "show special" weddings, where we are offering $2000 off our all inclusive package, and we have tours scheduled for next weekend. Please let us know if you'd like to come out! The tent won't go up until May, but we are willing to walk through the snow or mud, if you want to see the potential in our place now!

Other tricky months will be June and October 2025- so if you have those times in mind, we have 3-4 times the interest than dates available!

Such busy days… preparing for the bridal shows on the 21st and 28th for Riverbend Events- getting things together for our Lock 1 Distilling Company friends for events, including our Wine & Design with Waste Not Recycled Art… and getting back to our Weedsport renovation that was put on hold for (completely ridiculous Covid) pricing restrictions. I’ll save our “Before” pictures for another post! Lol

It's a competitive business, but you still don't want to see anyone have to shut down. If anyone was booked at Owara Vineyards and would like to discuss re-booking at Riverbend, please let us know. We are new as a venue but have decades of experience with weddings. We would be happy to work with you on a package price that would fit your existing budget.
