So last year after all of the Fall Festivals, I asked several churches if I could take their extra pumpkins home because our cows LOVE them!! A few weeks later, a few of the scattered seeds germinated and little pumpkin plants started growing BY THEMSELVES! Now that’s my kind of plant! I figured if they can grow that easily in my soil without help, this year I’m going to do a pumpkin patch just for fun! Why not?!? We germinated the seeds in baggies for the past 10 days, and voila! They’re ready for the soil! Hoping to get them in the ground in the next few days so they can be mature by fall!!

We had so much fun at our first Summer Splash in May! We had a waterslide, did Sq**rt Gun Painting, and made homemade ice cream!! Don’t miss our second one! Next Saturday, June 22 we will be having hotdogs, snowcones, a huge slip and slide, and a fun jellyfish craft! Come on out, and bring a dish to share and maybe a football! Let’s have some Jesus-loving-fun, and enjoy our Creator, Creation and Community!Everyone is welcome!!

We just finished setting up our homemade ice cream station table with all the directions labeled to make it as easy as possible to create our own delicious vanilla ice cream!! Can’t wait for our first Summer Splash on Saturday!! Come on out from 12-3, and bring a friend!!! Everyone is welcome!! ❤️❤️❤️

So our first Summer Splash is less than two weeks away, and we need to practice practice practice making our own homemade ice cream!!! ❤️ Special thanks to Tammy for practicing with me and handling the ice cream making station!! A week or so ago I knew it was coming…I caught the gentle whiff. But now the jasmine has fully bloomed, and the woods smell amazing! Anybody need a quiet prayer walk on the trails with the beautiful background aroma of jasmine?!?

We had such a good time at our first bonafide Covenant Oaks RezFest celebration!!! Thanks for all who turned out!! Probably 2000 eggs and 130ish people throughout the day! Nothing better to celebrate than the Resurrection of Christ!! The big winner was one of our smallest hunters! One egg had the name JESUS inside! Whoever finds Jesus finds the greatest treasure of all!!! Be on the lookout for our upcoming Summer Splash dates!!!

Our chickens are laying eggs like CRAZY right now!!! They get a healthy grain breakfast every day and free range all afternoon!! Anybody have extra egg cartons? I had TONS of them and can hardly believe I’m almost out! Or, if you’re someone who loves farm fresh eggs and wants to help support our little farm, PM me for more details. ❤️❤️❤️

Time to get mowing!! Imagine these trails LOADED with egg-hunt-joy!!! Rezfest is in just one week, next Saturday at noon! We’ll be bagging candy Thursday night if anyone wants to lend a hand! Community is always welcome, so bring a dish to pass, and invite a friend! PM me for details. 😁

Okay guys…not a “fun” post today. Today is a reminder of the straight-up HARD WORK that goes into a good project behind the scenes…the no-glory days that each of us have to persevere through to ultimately accomplish something beautiful! Our 20-acres was once a (gorgeous from what I’ve heard) plant nursery. But the more we clean and clear the land, the more obstacles we find. Dale is the man!!! He has worked steadily on clearing the area we want to promote for the venue, even though he has come across all kinds of rock-filled buckets, and overgrown areas covering hundreds of pounds of landscaping rock and stone. All props to my Viking! 😁 I’m so blessed to have such an amazing partner with me in this venture!! (Up-side is that we can use a lot of this beautiful stone when we eventually get to the paths and stations of our prayer walk!!!)

Our sign is up and BEAUTIFUL!!! I scoured all over the net trying to find a gorgeous wooden sign that would highlight my perfect mix of rustic and classy. I found it at the Oregon Rustic Wood Company! Ironically, it took me back to my roots… I was raised mostly in Oregon state growing up, surrounded by Douglas Fir trees. Hi guys! Dale and I are starting on a new adventure! Wanna join with us and watch us grow? The idea of Covenant Oaks has been in my heart and dreams for quite some time, but in 2024 it is becoming reality! We're starting a ministry and event venue on our property! Our bottom line mission is to celebrate our Creator, Creation, and Community! On the ministry hand, we'll be sponsoring events for our community like RezFest at Easter, Summer Splash events to keep cool during Florida's hottest months, and a Happy Harvest in the Fall. As an event venue, we'll be hosting YOUR celebrations: weddings, birthday parties, celebrations of life, graduations, and more! Within two years, we're hoping the create a beautiful "Prayer Walk" through our gorgeous trails, where people can get away from the busyness of life, and just "walk with God", and find the quiet and peace we all crave.

We would LOVE for you to follow with us through the small steps, as well as the big jumps, as we learn to start a business from bare property, and bring it to a fully engaged place to celebrate! Join us on the journey! The more friends, the merrier!
