Good morning from my cottage garden!

Isn’t this lily lovely? You can’t see it from the photo but this wonderful plant is nestled into my garden bed that leads right up to our back door so that I never miss a single blossom.

The reason for this is because out of my whole garden this single plant is my favorite. Not because of its color, or its fragrance, but because it originally grew in the garden of a dear friend who now lives in glory. When I see it I am reminded of their laughter, their fondness for carrot cake, and most of all their encouragement and kindness.

Every plant in this garden has a story to tell. But this one is my favorite.

If you know me, you know that spring is my favorite season of all. However, Fall 🍂 is a close second! The cooler weather, the softer lighting, the pumpkin spice ☕️

Yesterday I was shopping for some household stuff and discovered they’d already rolled out all the fall planting bulbs; Tulips, crocus, and the ever lovely daffodil. Nothing says fall to me like planting bulbs for spring. Is that just a gardener thing? 😆

Well, its official... Maeflower Cottage has moved! I will no longer be operating as a vendor inside The Merc at Station 30. Feels funny to say, and what a wonderful chapter of growth, learning, and discovery it has been over the last almost two years. However God's prompting is never wrong, His timing is perfect, and He will continue to guide my steps into this next phase.

I am currently working as a home-based business while waiting for the perfect space to become available. Fear not though! Your favorite garden florist is still in full operating capacity! I am available and happy to take any orders placed via phone/messenger. Contact me at (208)740-8502!

I love being a part of this wonderful community! And I especially love Sweet Melissa’s and can’t wait for my hair appointment this coming week. I think at this point in the year we can all agree that “garden hair” is a thing and i don’t know about you but my hair is in desperate need of some love and attention 💇‍♀️

Your favorite flower shop is… Moving!

Some big changes are coming to Maeflower Cottage and while I can find change difficult, I also know how necessary it is for growth 🌱 While I won’t be at my current location starting July 1st I will still be able to serve our wonderful community from the farm where I grow the flowers I love so much. I hadn’t planned on moving from my current location but Gods gentle hand has begun to push me in a different direction for this period of my life, and if you know me personally you know I always joke about “Going where the Spirit leads.”

Where it’s leading? I have absolutely no idea, but I know God in His mercy and love will make the way clear.

She signed up for my fresh flower subscription and after receiving her first delivery of a wrapped bouquet today she sent me a glowing review of “They are amazing!” It always warms my heart to know my flowers bring a little cheer to those around me ❤️ Not to mention that beautiful milk glass vase she arranged them in! 😍

I'm just hopping on here to thank everyone who participated in my pop-up flower bar over the last two days! It was so wonderful to meet new customers and returning ones. I look forward to being able to host a flower bar again, I've already got some fun ideas that I'm incredibly excited about.

When I say that I love my job, I really mean it. Whenever I get a call asking for a custom arrangement it’s the highlight of my day because I know I have the opportunity to put my hands to work creating something unique. Whether it’s to express someone’s love for their partner, congratulate a friend on a milestone, or to share the burden of someone’s grief it is all important work and a blessing to be a part of peoples lives in some small way 💐

One of my very favorite projects that I get to do often is arranging the floral decoration for the communion table at a local church. I just got this beauty back and exchanged it for a fresh one for them. It’s such a privilege to be able to use my time and skills in service to my Christian brothers and sisters 💕

I snuck into my booth today and did some reorganizing and added some new stock, it’s always fun to make things feel fresh again.

Also, I did a full cooler restock on Friday and have almost sold out already, what a blessing 💕🌸💕 I still have two mini bouquets and a medium sized arrangement available but I doubt they will last long. Keep posted for our next cooler restock this week!

Wow, there are not enough words for me to properly thank all of you who were able to support Maeflower this Valentine’s Day! It’s been weeks of planning and an absolute whirlwind 48 hours prepping pre-orders and trying to keep the cooler stocked full of arrangements! You all shopped so much that I actually ran out of flowers before the day was through and had to make a mad dash to put more together. Isn’t that amazing?!

This is only my second Valentine’s Day as a florist, so I know I’m still growing and have so much more to learn, but from the bottom of my heart thank you all for supporting me on this journey! 💐

That being said, I’m gonna go sleep for a week now! 😂
