Many of you asked us about our baby Piaggio Truck! Sorry for not telling the story before but here it goes …..🥳
Our baby truck is a Piaggio Ape (Bee in English) 50 (Cinquanta in Italian) is a three-wheeled light commercial vehicle and it was an adaption of the Company Vespa (means Wasp in Italian) scooter. 🐝
After WWII Italy was actually builded up with this mini trucks and originally it was designed to be a single-seater but then accommodated for two passengers of modest size.
We brought it from Italy 🇮🇹 🤌 and what we thought was going to be a 3 months project end up being 8 months. We wanted to take our time and really fine tune all the details and present you with a perfect one. As you can imagine we had to bring parts from Italy to get it all tune up delaying the process while learning to do mechanic work on it (a lot of youtube involved)
YES IT RUNS! and the sound of its engine is AWESOME. 49cc 2 cycle engine (like a lawnmower 😂) It can go up to 60 Km/h (37 mph) and actually has 4 gears.
After it was done we wanted to work with only LOCAL peeps in Tampa like @rustic.steel that did an amazing job with our flower bed frame and BJ’s Custom Auto Upholstery to name a few.
