What to expect from a Beginner Class: in this introduction to ballroom & latin dancing, we begin with teaching the foundations of frame, lead & follow, rhythm, and by week four, you and your partner will be dancing the basic and an underarm turn in the two most popular dances: the Rumba and the Swing. It is perfect for beginners who want to begin feeling comfortable on the dancefloor.

What to expect from an Intermediate Class: Once you have completed one Beginner session, you are then ready to dive in to the Intermediate Level. We cover two dances per session, and they include a combination of the Waltz, Rumba, Foxtrot, Swing, Cha Cha, and Salsa. You will continue to grow in your steps, technique, and lead & follow skills.

We are getting our dance skills ready for a dance night out to the Indiana Roof Ballroom in November! If you're interested in attending, contact us at [email protected] for more details.

Great info on how to connect music with your steps!

Learn to count music, which is different (but related) to counting dance patterns. The dancer’s 8 count vs the musician’s four-beat measure.
