Happy 4th!!
That is a wrap for June weddings totaling 4 brides! 😮💨 I’m tired but feel accomplished and proud, and I’m always learning to appreciate the value of my work more. Shown here in this video is bulk floral buckets for diy, which brought me to the realization I need to raise my prices. Those coral peonies and massive white fluffy peonies were picked and stored for 5 weeks specifically for this wedding, the roses were harvested daily for 2 weeks, same with the ranunculus with setting aside those with the most creamy peach and white tones, Veronica was stored for a week, foxglove for 2 weeks, I allowed several of the peach stock to ripen more on the stem because they start to taper more as they get taller and I love the look; I specifically selected the most perfect stock and would not pick so I could use for this wedding. I chose many different textures and elements, foliage and focals, spikes and rounds. I took peonies out of the cooler to let them open, when they reached the desired look-back in the cooler they went so they wouldn’t open more. There is much more to this than going out and throwing buckets of flowers together the day before. I want everyone to find the value and appreciate the value in what is provided here and not just look at this as a budget friendly option. All of these flowers are 💯 organic, 💯 locally grown by a home ran, momma ran, woman ran business. To give more perspective-there are 198 stems here. I calculated the price per stem based upon what a local wholesaler in Erie sells (and cross referenced with Boston market prices). This would have cost a florist between $400-460 if they purchased these flowers to use in their shop. Sometimes there are sales so we could say $300 on a very cheap end, but there are also flowers here that couldn’t be found at a wholesale level so there is an added value. There was some debate when I asked for help with pricing in a floral business group if mark up from there should happen with the

BREAD UPDATE: sourdough bread will be available on Saturday only this week. We took a class trip to Midway yesterday throwing off bread schedule.
In this video is stock! Stock is a member of the Brassicaceae family. I thought I planted enough this year, but still not enough. I’d love to offer straight bouquets of just stock because look how beautiful it is!? The colors are amazing and the smell is out of this world!!
June 1st Wedding
This has got to be one of the most beautiful bouquets I have made, but then again I’ll say the same thing about the next one! 💯 farm grown here on my little plot and I can say I truly am proud!!!! I stored a few varieties of peonies for 4 weeks just to use in this wedding 😍 I also stored ranunculus and foxglove for 2 weeks, and started picking roses on the Sunday before today! If I were you-I’d get married in June!!!
I wasn’t planning on making bouquets today, but decided to last minute. 2 Peony Garden Rose bouquets available in the stand today! $35 each. I have 1 bouquet left from yesterday discounted to $10 also in the stand. Happy memorial weekend!!

I was asked if I could make arrangements to grace the tables for the annual farmer-neighbor dinner hosted by Cornell Cooperative Extension here is Chautauqua County! This is a dinner hosted to celebrate local agriculture and to present awards to farmers in our community! What an honor my evening was being surrounded by local farmers, and the presence was great! It was an atmosphere I just can not describe but my face hurt from smiling so much. I met many wonderful people, saw friends I already knew, learned something new, and had a blast!
The venue was absolutely spectacular with the most breathtaking views! @thegrandviewofellington
The food was 💯 locally grown and donated by all our local farmers and prepared by @3cscatering_foodtruck I drank wine from @johnsonestatewinery ate peach cobbler with peaches grown by Knight Vineyards. There are too many places to tag, but everything was amazing.
Lastly a big thank you to Cassie at Cornell, who presented this opportunity to me and to all the times she has informed me of local classes and opportunities ❤️ You’re never too old to learn!
Local agriculture is something that should be celebrated in a grand way!! 👏🥰
Don’t forget your flowers today. Happy Tuesday! ❤️
