What’s new on the farm?
After a well needed break over Christmas we decided to reprioritize and make some new changes for 2024.
As of January 1st I am no longer offering horse riding lessons because I am too busy breaking and training horses and tuning up my personal horse for the new ranch versatility show season.
We have a few new additions to the farm. A pony, 2 palamino projects, and of coarse more chickens and barn cats 😆 an upgraded horse trailer, a 4 wheeler, and a new arena have been lifesavers!
Unfortunately, Our dairy cow has passed her due date with no signs of approaching labor. She will be checked next week to see if she still has a calf or not. Not having her milk this year or a beef cow to raise would be a huge devastation but that is the nature of things sometimes. All our baby chicks from last year are finally laying. My spring garden is all mapped out and we are so excited to get that started again in the coming weeks.
I started a new business, a luxury portable restroom trailer. Perfect for outdoor country weddings, concerts, markets, and parties. I’m really excited to be launching that project this month and getting a step closer to having my own farm event venue.
Our love and respect for agriculture has grown so much this year. As a full time active duty military family, homeschooler mother and home manager with 4 small children, farmer, and involved member of our church community we have limited time and energy to spend on all of our goals and interests but producing healthy quality food and strengthening family relationships both in our family and community are still the direction we are headed.
I will be launching a local 4H horse riding club very soon.
If you are interested in getting involved in any of our projects, want to learn more, coordinate some farm swaps, or have professional services we would be interested in feel free to reach out! 🙏 ❤️
