LUSH ICT is hiring an experienced Floral Designer to help make floral magic for our clients. This creative position offers flexible scheduling, a positive work environment and the opportunity to work on some of the largest events in the midwest.

Job description
Knowledge and experience with working with flowers- how to process, maintain, design and deliver.
Experienced with the floral mechanics of wedding work, centerpieces, and large install displays.
Sharp eye for quality floral design, floral trends, color harmony, symmetry, and scale.
Ability to take creative direction, constructive critique in stride.
Knowledge of flowers and plants – including knowing when certain products are available in different seasons
Experience in creating floral recipes and costing of floral arrangements
Concierge-level customer service skills
Ability to guide clients through the consultation process.
Comfortable creating digital proposals, mood boards, and estimates.
Computer applications: Google Suite, IntelliEvent, Canva, Pinterest
On site and in office management of designers and crew. Ability to motivate and be a good leader and team builder.
Ability to drive a large van, possibly a box truck is a plus
Able to lift a minimum of 25 pounds
Comfortable on ladders and/or scissor lifts to install florals is required
Ability to use the hand tools of the floral trade
Flexible work schedule; good attendance and availability are important
Organization and multi-tasking abilities – keep work space nice and tidy
Event production experience a plus
Flexible on job duties – we all wear different hats: willingness to do whatever needs to be done at the office, warehouse, and on event sites including taking out trash, sweeping your workstation, breaking down boxes, cleaning floral buckets, washing vases and containers, and more, if needed!
Presentable appearance is necessary when working in public and on site due to caliber of our clientele.

Salary: $15.00 - $25.00 per hour
Experience:
Customer service: 3 years (Preferred)
Floral design: 3 years (Preferred)
