If you have ever heard Elvis's voice on a movie, TV series or a commercial, you are probably listening to Rodney - an incredible artist in his own right - but can dead-on capture Elvis's voice. A great guy to boot. Last time we saw each other was in the trails of Bell Meade Park in Green Hills, Nashville. A great guy and very talented man.

I know I just posted this from my memories yesterday - although I didn't actually listen to it again. I did today because of a friend who "liked" it. I've worked with Little Feat a lot as with Steve Cropper - and consider both Paul Barriere and Cropdog friends; yet I had forgotten in this particular performance, Steve was not scheduled to come onstage - totally his decision. I was Exec. Producer, but was also playing percussion on these spots (so unreachable), I saw Steve grab his guitar and come from stage right. None of this was in rehearsal - so it was a surprise to me. Nothing I could do about it in my position and Paul, Kenny and Steve are ultimate veterans - as were my band - so I just let it happen. What resulted was a unique performance of two Feat Classics with a Steve Cropper touch, and nice interplay between Paul and Steve. Wingo also showed his chops by deftly managing the band and some very tasteful mandolin. Gonna put the whole show up on day - many performers from many different genres and times. A great show. Need to throw the whole thing up on here. Enjoy.

In working with "Musicians Mission of Mercy" - God has presented us with some incredible opportunities that will forward our ACHIEVABLE mission of providing expandable pilot programs that realistically and positively address the very real issue of poverty, and the resulting effect of childhood hunger and the very real needs of basic life essientials that are needed by many that are doing the very best they can with what they are given.
Those involved in the arts, and especially music, are a consistently involved in addressing this national disgrace; and realize that it is a very "fixable" problem in our country (and around the world - yet we only need to go a very short distance to find those in great need through no fault of their own.) We will see great changes in fulfilling the basic needs of the millions of children that require OUR assistance.
Please keep an eye out in the coming months for further announcements, shows, events and ways that you can be involved. We are not "chasing windmills" we are going to change and save lives - Period!

In honor of the Nashville Predators - here is the first commercial we created and produced to announce the team to Nashville. This was used at the "Name/Logo Unveiling" Event at Planet Hollywood and then as the first commercial (also my first time directing a computer animated spot - all we had to go on was the name and the 2D Logo.

Trick Pony with "Pour Me" from that first year of the Celebrity Celebration (shot with an early version of a camera phone), this show was in a mega-tent, 6 years later it was a televised 5 camera shoot concert at Rupp Arena at The University of Kentucky. All for The Markey Cancer Center in Lexington. Heidi Newfield was a close friend as Trick Pony was the de-facto "house band" at The Wildhorse Saloon just a year earlier. She did some great solo work, but glad to hear that Trick Pony is back together and putting out some great music - Heidi was my lil Wild-Pony Baby-Doll (with all respect - just a great girl)!

The very first promo for The Celebrity Celebration - we had plans, but little did we know what this would evolve into.

This is the Sponsorship Reel for the NFL Players Party at The Super Bowl in Miami that features footage from the event in San Diego that we produced. Obviously the footage centers on the players access - but will give you an idea of the multiple components involved. We literally built a city in Embarcaderro Park on the San Diego Bay - 18 bands in 3 days, plus more activities than I can mention. and oh, the stories I could tell.....

Tim and Faith performing "Your Love" at The Ryman. The song was Number 1 on the Billboard charts that week. Love when synchronicity happens like that. This was an All-Star show to promote the Nashville Predators and we televised it in the Nashville area. Delbert McClinton even wrote an original song - "HockeyTonk Jam" just for the show. Killer show at The Ryman.
