PCA3's first vendor intro!! You know 'em, you love 'em... Edge Of Urge! “Fueled by curiosity and the thrill of the hunt, we seek out makers with a story to tell and inspiration to share. We collect thoughtful, artful, uncommon goods for you and your nest from emerging and independent designers from North Carolina, across the country, and around the world.”

Do you want to see your favorite band at PCA this year? We do too, but unfortunately that takes money. This year we are trying to bring in a larger artist to headline the benefit show and we need your help. Public Cervix has remained a free non-ticketed event to stay accessible to anyone who wants to come, and that will NOT change! In years past all event expenses have come directly from my personal bank account but this year we have opened up an opportunity to become a sponsor. Trust me there are sponsorship perks, so please please donate or share as far and wide as possible. We want to bring a crowddddd! Comment your favorite band, let's see what we can do together 🙂

The link will stay live and any funds raised that exceed our budget will be donated directly to Planned Parenthood South Atlantic.

*cough cough* Let me introduce myself! My names Caroline, last names feel weirdly formal, but it’s Lemley. I am a native Wilmingtonian, passionate and active in the music and arts scene, and obviously a huge advocate for abortion rights. I started Public Cervix Announcement in a Post Roe, 2022 summer. What started as an idea to host a yard sale for Planned Parenthood South Atlantic, became a community wide event and benefit show to raise funds to support PPSAT, and safe access to their many facilities! I couldn’t have done any of it without the help of my true partner in crime. Be on the lookout for her intro later this week 👀👀

This season we are looking to raise $15,000 to fund this project. PCA from the start has been a solo endeavor that has been financed by my personal savings. This is the first year we are looking to crowdsource funding to put on this event and we want your Wilmington business to be an official corporate sponsor. I know that with your support our efforts can go even further. In this role your business can provide a donation, and in return we will promote your business as an official sponsor. Funds provided by our corporate sponsors will go toward financing event space rental fees, event merch, band/talent compensation, and event location. Any funds procured over our budget will go directly to PPSAT.

This year, with an election looming in November, mobilizing voters for reproductive health care is more important than ever to restore and protect abortion rights here in our state. With your help we can further assist PPSAT in reimagining and rebuilding high-quality sexual health care, including abortion. Your donation will work to galvanize the momentum needed to win 2024 and beyond!

Below we have laid out three levels of gifting options and their respective advertising specs:

ABORTION ADVOCATE ($200-$500): company/individuals name on event shirt, 1 event t-shirt, quarter page ad in event program, 1 sponsored post on event socials, 2 drink tickets

BIRTH CONTROL BUFF ($500-$1000): company/individuals name on event banner, company/individuals name on event t-shirt, 2 event t-shirts, 2 sponsored posts on event instagram, half page ad in event program, 4 drink tickets

CONTRACEPTION CRUSADERS ($1000+): company/individuals name prominently displayed on event banner, company/individuals name/logo on event t-shirt, full page ad in event program, company/logo featured on table placards, 2 event t-shirts, 2 sponsored posts on events instagram, full page ad in event program, 6 drink tickets, reserved table space for benefit concert.

Public Cervix Announcement 3 is upon us! September 1st, 2024, we will be returning to Wilmington to rally the community together to celebrate, educate, and libate on behalf of Planned Parenthood South Atlantic (PPSAT). The last two years we have cumulatively raised over $20,000 that directly goes to support PPSAT and their efforts to provide life saving cancer screenings, STI testing, family planning, primary care, and safe/private access to abortions. Our annual event has historically been an overwhelmingly successful event, not only because of the funds raised for PPSAT, but for the local community and businesses who have partnered with us.

This project originated as in idea to host a yard sale in the wake of Roe v. Wade being overturned in 2022. The local support, from its inception, has made it so much more than that. This passion project has now turned into an all day block party event that hosts local creators and musicians who are passionate about reproductive health care and education. Hi-Wire Wilmington is the venue for the all day market and block party and this year we will conclude with a benefit show at Bowstring Brewyard. This grassroots effort to fundraise has consistently exceeded my expectations and this year is slated to be bigger than ever!
