Meg and Luke’s wedding at the Old Fayette County Courthouse was the perfect example of how beautiful simplicity can be. With just 15 of their closest loved ones, it was calm, unhurried, and focused on what truly matters—love. No rushing, no stress, no checking timelines or tracking down people. Just pure joy and meaningful moments.

Everyone wore black, creating a sleek, timeless look—but Meg stole the show in her stunning dress. It was elegant, classic, and the perfect centerpiece of such an intimate day. The dreary skies and quiet atmosphere only added to the romantic, timeless feel of the entire celebration.

✨ Celebrating My Best Friend’s Journey into Motherhood ✨

Watching my best friend Haley step into motherhood has been one of the most beautiful and emotional experiences of my life. We’ve shared so many seasons together, but this one feels especially sacred. Her faith, grace, and strength are such an inspiration, and I know her little one is already so blessed to have her as a mom.

To make sure your “Getting Ready” photos turn out as amazing as the moment feels, here are a few tips to keep in mind:
1️⃣ Let the Light In
Natural light is your best friend! Choose a space with large windows to let the light pour in—it makes all the difference for stunning photos. If your stylist hasn’t already placed you near a window, don’t hesitate to ask!
2️⃣ Clear the Clutter
A tidy space creates calm, clean images. Take a moment to tidy up and remove any distractions so the focus stays on you and the magic of the moment.
3️⃣ Gather Your Details
Have everything you plan to wear or include in your photos ready to go: shoes, jewelry, veil, bouquet, rings, invitations, perfume, and even fun extras like vows, ci**rs, or drinks. No need to arrange them; we’ll take care of that!

Many couples or expectant moms often wonder if pregnancy photos are even worth it.
Partners are often not in the mood either, and you’re already relieved if they show up for the newborn shoot. Plus, you might not feel great—carrying a few extra pounds, dealing with water retention, and so on.

But all I can say is: YES!

It’s absolutely worth it. This unique and magical time deserves to be captured. Your body is a miracle! 💫
One of life’s most precious gifts is growing inside of you—your child, your future as a family.

Why not preserve this moment in photos? Even if your partner doesn’t feel like participating, do it for yourself. It’s your body, your journey, and your memories.

Tip: When planning your maternity shoot, schedule it between 28-34 weeks of pregnancy. Your bump will be beautifully round, and you’ll still feel comfortable enough to enjoy the session!

🕰️ Documenting the Details: Make sure to set aside at least 30-45 minutes for your photographer to capture those meaningful details—rings, shoes, invitations, dress, and more. You’ve put so much effort into these elements, and they deserve to be remembered!

⏳ Buffer Time: Always build in extra time between events. The day can get hectic, and a little cushion helps keep things calm and flexible. Trust me, a timeline without wiggle room can make you feel rushed.

💆‍♀️ Time to Rest: I love finishing portraits an hour before the ceremony so you have time to grab a drink, touch up your makeup, and take a breath. After all, your wedding should be enjoyed in the moment—not just through the lens.
