Canon City snagged the win this round, but we’re proud of how hard our crew works every day to keep safety a priority here in Teller County. Our bragging rights may head south, but the real win is safer sites for our people and our community.

A few trash no-nos here! 🚫 When items stick out of the can, our drivers have to get out and handle it manually since the automated trucks can't pick it up. Also, remember—only three extra 32-gallon bags per pick-up (no contractor bags unless they are leaves), and everything else needs to fit inside the can. Let’s keep things running smoothly!

Keep Our Mountains Safe! Don’t Toss Batteries in the Trash. 🔥🌄
A single battery in the garbage can spark a fire that puts our homes, wildlife, and beautiful mountain community at risk.

We’ve already had 2 fires on site in the past month caused by batteries. These fires can cost hundreds of thousands in damages and could easily lead to devastating wildfires.

Do this instead: Search “battery disposal drop-off near me” to find a safe recycling location. Check the guidelines in the post to see what should be brought to a facility.

Please share with your family, friends, neighbors, and community groups to spread safe battery disposal practices and keep our home safe! Together, we can protect our trucks, drivers, and the place we all call home. 💚
